百集大型纪录片《中国通史》由央视电影频道节目中心制作出品、中国社 会科学院监制、中国社会科学院历史研究所组织 撰稿并邀请国内多家重点大学、专业机构的研究 人员共同参与创作。 为了让广大观众先行了解其面貌，并听取各 方面意见，不断提高拍摄质量，电影频道从已经 拍摄完成的作品中，选出有关魏晋南北朝到隋唐 时期的7集先行播出，1月21日至27日晚8：50， 观众将分别看到《诸葛亮治蜀》、《魏晋风 度》、《北魏孝文帝改革》、《梁武帝治国》、 《魏晋佛教》、《再造统一》和《炀帝功过》。

On 6 May 1945, soldiers of the 88th US Infantry Division occupied the Himmlers’ family home in Gmund on Lake Tegernsee where they discovered hundreds of private letters, documents, journals and photographs. The film makes use of these materials and copious archive footage to sketch the biography of SS commander Heinrich Himmler who committed suicide at the end of May 1945 by taking a cyanide capsule. How did this nationalistic lower-middle-class man become Hitler’s henchman responsible for developing and executing the strategies that led to the murder of millions of Jews, homosexuals, Communists and Romany people? Where did his ideology originate? How did he see himself and how was he perceived in private by his wife Margarete, his daughter Gudrun and his mistress Hedwig? How could the man who often referred to so-called German virtues such as order, decency and goodness also write home in the midst of the war and Holocaust: ‘I am well in spite of my heavy workload’? What was it that caused his daughter to say after a visit to Dachau concentration camp: ‘It was lovely …’ A film about the pretensions of a mass murderer and the repression of any sense of guilt. At the time of the Polish social regime, a security officer is promoted to work at a prison yard. Introducing concurrently with the narrator; he speaks of himself, his thoughts, his point of view. He tells that he is not afraid of bandits or gangs; on the contrary he gets a kick out armed conflicts. To get a start in his new duty, he shops for a watchdog; and he buys an untrained attack dog as his companion. Then he speaks of the adjudications that the death sentence for fugitives is lacking influence. From his point of view, the judicatory tribunal must execute the fugitives in public. In the morning the next day he wears his uniform and start working with pride. Whilst he is on his duty, a very harmonic music score begins to be played on the piano. The watchman spectates the peaceful life on the street. At that time we catch on that socialism is not a governmental regime; yet it's an uneducated behavior. As a final scene the watchman witnesses of a cadet school's pupils being taught of the democracy. He leaves us with a confused smile. A soft and likable thesis from the Polish director Kieslowski.
