百集大型纪录片《中国通史》由央视电影频道节目中心制作出品、中国社 会科学院监制、中国社会科学院历史研究所组织 撰稿并邀请国内多家重点大学、专业机构的研究 人员共同参与创作。 为了让广大观众先行了解其面貌，并听取各 方面意见，不断提高拍摄质量，电影频道从已经 拍摄完成的作品中，选出有关魏晋南北朝到隋唐 时期的7集先行播出，1月21日至27日晚8：50， 观众将分别看到《诸葛亮治蜀》、《魏晋风 度》、《北魏孝文帝改革》、《梁武帝治国》、 《魏晋佛教》、《再造统一》和《炀帝功过》。
黄河中游的三门峡湿地，是野生大天鹅重要的越冬栖息地。每年吸引一万余只越冬的大天鹅。一只雌性大天鹅“美峡”翅膀受伤，不得不永久留在越冬地。在这里，它与另一只受伤的天鹅组建家庭并孵化出了7只幼崽，这是野生大天鹅在黄河流域越冬地自然繁殖成功的首例。随后的五个月里，美峡先后失去 丈夫和一个孩子，家庭遭受巨大变故。单亲母亲困难重重。秋末，大天鹅陆续抵达黄河中游的越冬地。美峡的领地也受到了挑战。第二年春季，越冬的天鹅开始飞回北方繁殖地。面对迁徙，六个孩子又将何去何从呢？ "A female swan Meixia, whose wings were injured and could not fly, had to stay permanently in the wintering grounds, where she and another wounded swan fell in love, then started to breed and rear their young. However, Meixia lost her husband and one child sequentially in five months, the single mother suffered deeply from her family lost and life bristled with difficulties for her unexpectedly. At the end of autumn, the wintering ground in the Yellow River Basin is crowded with other swans which means Meixia’s territory is facing challenge. Next year spring, swans are flying back to their breeding grounds. When facing migration, what will be the destiny of her six children?"
A Roman Catholic priest leads a band of ten young men from various backgrounds on a pilgrimage. They walk from the south of France along the less popular Northern Route of the "Camino" to Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain, a shrine built around the remains of Santiago, the Apostle St. James. Along the way through mountain pathways, inclement weather and blistered feet, the men learn valuable life lessons about commitment, perseverance, assistance and spirituality. Barefoot roadtrip around Guinea in search of the first film made by a local filmmaker. A charming and cinematic adventure, where the journey and the destination are equally important, and a film about collective memory and porous film reels. Does a film exist if no one has seen it? Guinean film director Thierno Souleymane Diallo goes on a barefoot road trip around his country to find the mythical 1953 film ‘Mouramani’ – the first Guinean film made by a local filmmaker. But it is not easy to find the film or anyone who has seen it for that matter. Some believe it is about the Islamisation of the Mandinka people. Others that it is about the relationship between a dog and its owner. Along the way, Diallo passes old, abandoned cinemas and dusty piles of moisture-damaged film reels. ‘The Cemetery of Cinema’ is a charming, cinematic adventure in which the journey is almost as important as the destination, and where the encounters along the way remind us of the importance of preserving a shared memory and culturel heritage.

Largely unchanged for more than a century, the projection of photochemical film faces an uncertain future in the digital age. The practice of handing and projecting film is in danger of being lost; and the role of film projectionist is nearing extinction. THE DYING OF THE LIGHT explores at the history and craft of motion picture presentation through the lives and stories of the last generation of career projectionists. By turns humorous and melancholic, their candid reflections on life in the booth reveal a world that has largely gone unnoticed and is now at an end. The result is a loving tribute to the art and romance of the movies-and to the unseen people who brought the light to our screens.
