《勁歌金曲》自1981年啟播,逾四十年來一直致力提供平台讓歌手發表音樂作品。隨後舉辦的《勁歌金曲頒獎典禮》,更是表揚及肯定一眾音樂人努力的成績表,在頒獎禮中獲獎,也被視為一份無比的榮譽。為跟觀眾一起重溫《勁歌》的輝煌歲月,節目召喚鄭丹瑞、蔡楓華、盧敏儀、樊亦敏、黃山怡等多代主持回到工作崗位,還會邀請譚詠麟、鍾鎮濤、區瑞強、吳雨、鄭國江,以歌手與幕後製作人的角度,引領大家回味《勁歌》的幕幕經典時刻。
