《地表最大家庭（The World’s Biggest Family）》是來自加拿大的紀錄片：導演柏瑞（Barry Stevens）竟然可能有600個兄弟姊妹，全由一位醫師偷偷匿名用自己精子提供給不孕婦女受孕。柏瑞靠著DNA技術，發現了自己有一堆兄弟姊妹，讓他開始調查各國人工生殖狀況，才發現匿名捐贈精卵會有嚴重後果：遺傳疾病資訊缺乏，也導致不知情的兒女相戀。最重要的，柏瑞相信人人有權知道自己的故事。「連番茄都有清楚來歷，何況是人呢？」柏瑞贊成取消匿名捐贈制度。

父母結婚60多年，依然非常恩愛。可是，母親近年患上認知障礙症，漸漸失去照顧自己的能力。年過95的父親唯有擔起打理家頭細務的責任。遠在東京的信友直子，放下電視台的導演工作，回到老家廣島吳市，用攝錄機記錄兩老掙扎的日常。為期三年的拍攝過程，導演除了發掘父母的另一面，同時亦為了報答父母，多年前在自己患癌期間，賦予的支持和鼓勵。以最直接的角度，記載人生的甜酸苦辣，不用煽情的手法，創出溫柔的催淚良方。
