　　本节目从自然界中选出几种生物，探索牠们特殊的繁殖方式与妊娠(gestation)过程，调查牠们如何求偶，胚胎从发育到出生的变化，以及新生命诞生后 的情形。摄影机将深入母体的子宫，巨细靡遗地介绍个别动物的胚胎不同阶段的发育，提供观众非比寻常、难得一见的影像。企鹅的胚胎如何不受冻？袋鼠胚胎为什 么发育还不完全，就离开子宫自行走到囊袋？为什么对众多鲨鱼胚胎来说，拥有兄弟姊妹会有生命危险？哪一种动物的繁衍方式，让达尔文质疑上帝的存在？

　　Tokio ist seit mehr als 60 Jahren die größte Stadt der Welt. Sie ist Zentrum eines Ballungsraums von über 36 Millionen Einwohnern, noch immer auf Expansionskurs. Japans Hauptstadt gilt vielen als Stadt der Zukunft. Dabei war Tokio noch vor 150 Jahren Edo - eine Stadt aus einfachen Holzbauten mit einer Million Einwohnern. Die Edo-Zeit endete im späten 19. Jahrhundert. Im Laufe des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde Tokio zweimal zerstört, zuerst durch ein großes Erdbeben, dann während des Zweiten Weltkriegs durch US-Bomben. Jedes Mal musste Tokio von Grund auf neu aufgebaut werden. Ein Film über das wechselvolle Schicksal der Stadt.

　　Race Across The World, a new six-part series for BBC Two, will pit pairs of travellers against each other in a race to reach the Far East without taking a single flight, with no smartphone in sight. Each contestant will only have the cash equivalent of an air fare to their destination to pay for their overland travel. If they run out, they'll need to earn more.
　　Setting out on the adventure of a lifetime, the couples will hit the open road using whatever mode of transport they can - from trains to pickup trucks, from ferries to tuk-tuks - crossing continents and experiencing travel the way we once used to.
　　And the race is on to reach the finish line in the fastest time, making best use of their money - and strategy - to win a cash prize. This flightless race will allow the teams time to savour some of the world’s most beautiful and astonishing scenery, which the modern-day traveller seldom gets to see.
