　　After four decades of reporting from the continent, Jonathan Dimbleby returns to Africa on a 7,000-mile journey to discover how it is changing.

　　He starts his African journey in the capital of Mali, Bamako, the fastest-growing African city. Following the course of the Niger river, Dimbleby finds not a continent of beggars but of industrious people, some of whom go to extraordinary lengths to make a living, free-diving 20 feet to excavate building sand.
　　Travelling north-east, he sees how tradition is preserved in an area where a sophisticated urban society has thrived for 1600 years. Jonathan gets his hands dirty as the apprentice of a 74-year-old mud mason in Djenne, a town built entirely of mud.
　　In Ghana, one of Africa's freest and most stable countries, Jonathan sees a spectacular festival before playing a game of golf with the King of the Ashanti, who recalls his time working for Brent council. Dimbleby attends the King's court to see what lessons the UK can draw from traditional African structures that promote harmony and reconciliation.
　　Jonathan discovers that the African brain drain is turning into a brain gain as economic opportunity and patriotism draw people home. Football unites Ghana like nothing else, superseding political and tribal divisions. There is a rich seam of young football talent on the continent in the year that the World Cup is hosted by an African nation for the first time.
　　In Lagos, Nigeria's business capital, Jonathan Dimbleby sees a different take on a city that is often depicted as a hotbed of violence, crime and corruption. He is taken on a private jet by Africa's richest man, then savours the creative talents of two of African music's rising stars who are helping to cement Lagos's place as the continent's cultural hub.

　　On the second leg of his illuminating journey across Africa, Jonathan Dimbleby travels 2000 miles through East Africa's Rift Valley.
　　Starting in Ethiopia, where he was the first journalist to report the 1973 famine, Dimbleby discovers the great strides being made to safeguard the country from future catastrophes.
　　In Kenya he finds out how mobile phones are revolutionising small businesses and even the lives of Masai tribes.
　　In Tanzania he joins in a football match with the judges and guards of Africa's own Human Rights Commission and meets the street kids in Dar-es-Salaam who are building an international profile for their music.

　　On the final leg of his 7,000-mile odyssey, Jonathan Dimbleby travels from Congo to Durban in search of the stories revealing contemporary Africa.
　　He learns how China's billion-dollar deals have rebooted African economies, once dependent on Western aid and investment.
　　Passing through Zambia, Jonathan survives a training session with boxing world champion Esther Phiri and meets Hugh Masekela, who shares with him his view of Africa's emerging revival.

　　Investigators of the strange, John E.L. Tenney and Chad Lindberg, explore the world's most allegedly haunted locations in search of the truth regarding the nature of existence and if there are worlds beyond our reality.

　　NBC宣布预订生存专家Bear Grylls开发的另一部野外求生竞技真人秀（6集）——去年NBC曾播出Bear Grylls开发的《Get Out Alive》，同样为野外求生节目。新节目命名为《Running Wild With Bear Grylls》，Bear Grylls将带领一群名人到偏僻的地方完成为期48小时的探险任务。名人们将在卡茨基尔山进行空中杂技跳伞，在犹他州用吊绳垂降悬崖，并且在苏格兰高地对抗狂风和暴雨。该节目在7月28日播出，确定参与的名人包括演员Zac Efron、Ben Stiller、Channing Tatum、Tom Arnold以及一名橄榄球运动员和一名新闻节目主持人。该节目和去年Dwayne Johnson的《凡人英雄》（Hero）非常相似。

TV series “Fear Factor” is returning for a new generation.
Originally hosted by Joe Rogan, “Fear Factor” aired on NBC between 2001 and 2006, and the basic idea was that contestants were tasked with overcoming their fears by doing all sorts of gross and horrifying things. In one episode, they had to literally eat horse rectum. In another, they had to bob for rings at the bottom of a tank filled with cow’s blood. Yeah. No thank you.
The original “Fear Factor” ran for six seasons, with Ludacris hosting a short-lived revival of the series back in 2017. That version of the series ended up running for just two seasons.
So what’s the new twist for this latest revival? Variety reports that “Fear Factor: The Next Chapter” will be “bigger, bolder and more daring” than the series has ever been before.
In the new reboot series, “Dropped into an unforgiving, remote location, a group of strangers will live together under one roof, and face mind-blowing stunts, harrowing challenges and a twisted game of social strategy where trust is fleeting — and fear is a weapon.”
“The reinvention piece is critical here. It’s called Fear Factor, and we’re going to take the brand name,” Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade teases. “But I think the producer’s come up with a really interesting take on it, and it’s not going to feel like the show from 20 years ago.”

　　踏入二千年以来，Madonna这位已「女人四十」的流行音乐天后似乎有一种愈战愈勇之势。2005年，Madonna在出版过一张以Future Disco为大前提的Confessions On A Dance Floor专辑(也是其第十张专辑)、重拾她的Dancing Queen / Queen Of Clubland姿态后，再引伸出是两款她的DVD录像出品：先是为其04年Reinvention Tour拍摄的纪录片I’m Going To Tell You A Secret在去年面世，继而是在这个07年初推出的现场演出影片The Confessions Tour。两者同是由合作多时的Jonas Akerlund执导摄製。她的乐迷绝对不愁寂寞吧。
　　在The Confessions Tour内，收录了Madonna在2006年的Confessions Tour世界性巡迴演出在英国伦敦Wembley Arena举行的一站，共三场音乐会，最后一晚(8月16日)演出，正是她的四十八岁生辰，故也别有纪念性意义。
　　早已得悉她的Confessions Tour是何等精采绝伦。而毋庸置疑，这张The Confessions Tour的DVD，亦是那么叫人为之目不遐给。变化多端的舞台(包括令到由Stuart Price担任音乐总监的伴奏乐团可以「神出鬼没」)，精湛而慑人的录像投射，加上舞蹈员的配合，达至每首歌曲的表演皆有不同的Setting配套。现在在DVD里，又不时重新将本来的录像投射与舞台的画面加以重迭，效果更嘆为观止。后期製作的出色乃毋庸置疑。
　　开场曲Future Lovers跟重玩Donna Summer的1977年Euro-Disco名曲I Feel Love水乳交融而来，加上身穿骑马服的Madonna与舞蹈员带来充满S&M意味的演出，已够先声夺人。每首歌曲，都附上不同的舞台表演环节，如Like A Virgin里的「骑马舞」，Jump里舞蹈员的体操舞蹈，Confessions的舞蹈员读白，Live To Tell里那备受争议的钉十字架场面(背后的数字是要道出在非洲爱滋病令到一千二百万名儿童成为孤儿并带出连串关注非洲儿童的信息再以马太福音作结——为音乐会最触动心灵、发人深省的一曲)，Forbidden Love的两男一女「缠手舞」，Isaac的号角前奏，Sorry把舞台变成街头，Music Inferno的滚轴溜冰，在视觉上已令人留下深刻印象。
　　音乐会里有三首歌曲可看到Madonna弹奏结他。玩出I Love New York这首Disco-Punk曲目的时候，她背著电结他出场带来介乎The Stooges与Post-Punk式之间的结他Riff与製造Feedback，台上投映出纽约市曼哈顿的空中轮廓线，非常之酷；未段Madonna不断敲打结他时，镜头便做出地动山摇的效果，甚为震憾呢。跟著再玩了Ray Of Light。后来她又弹奏木结他与Issac Sinwani合唱Paradise (Not For Me)。来到尾段，便玩尽劲歌热舞的主题。在Erotica时娜姐换上白色紧身舞衣出场，La Isla Bonita在流丽的Flamenco结他下她大喊”It’s time to put on your dancing shoes!”把舞台变成狂热舞会；Lucky Star娜姐在紧身舞衣上披上印有”Dancing Queen”字样斗篷先向Abba致敬，末段已穿插著Abba的79年名曲Gimme！Gimme！Gimme！（A Man After Midnight）的前奏Sample，随即便引伸出结幕曲Hung Up，亦成为整场音乐会的高潮位，全场大合唱：”Time goes by….so slowly”。
　　Stuart Price(aka Jacques Lu Cont)的音乐总监角色固然功不可没，经他重新编曲下，为Madonna的歌曲重新注入舞池动能，甚至像Like A Virgin和Lucky Star等廿三、四年前的曲目，都变身成摩登的Electro-Disco House舞曲。1983、84年，Madonna初露锋芒的年代，小Stuart才得六、七岁咋。
