　　每一集中，每对组合都将经受身体、精神以及情感上的极限挑战，其中包括自己动手制作木筏、在鳄鱼出没的河流上划行、穿越蝙蝠栖息的恐怖洞穴，甚至还要被吊在距离热带雨林上方200英尺的高空并顺着哥斯达黎加最壮观的瀑布滑到地面……在经历过众多艰险后，参赛者们或许能在彼此身上发现优点，迸发激情，并最终走到一起。
　　每一轮最先完成任务的组合会获得由五星级“绿洲宾馆”提供的浪漫套房一晚。虽然“绿洲宾馆”外表看起来很简陋，却是全世界所有情侣向往的“浪漫圣地”。而其他人则留在豪华的“木屋宾馆”开展社交活动。
