纪录片《上甘岭》聚焦抗美援朝战争中著名的上甘岭战役，共分为3集，每集约50分钟。该片以军事专业角度回顾上甘岭战役的三个阶段，通过战略战术、武器装备和英雄人物等三个维度还原一场以弱胜强的经典之战。摄制组以国际化的视角开启解密上甘岭战役的全球之旅，从韩国、美国、俄罗斯等地寻找到许多珍贵的文字和影像档案，大部分都是第一次在纪录片中呈现。同时遍访国内仍健在的上甘岭战役亲历者，抢救性采访口述史。纪录片立足当下，以更加年轻化的视角和语态讲述故事，结合动画、沙盘推演等丰富的表现手法，运用电影级的音效设计，创造全新的视听体验。70多年后，新一辈年轻人以青春致敬青春，缅怀先辈，弘扬不朽的“上甘岭精神”。
