　　Directed by Mark Levinson, a physicist turned filmmaker, from the inspiration and initiative of producer David Kaplan and masterfully edited by Walter Murch (Apocalypse Now, The English Patient, The Godfather trilogy), Particle Fever is a celebration of discovery, revealing the very human stories behind this epic machine.

　　首先潜艇将带领我们下潜600公尺深海域，进入永远处于黑暗中的世界，全程追踪观察地球上最大肉食动物抹香鲸，追捕地球上最大无脊椎动物大王鱿鱼等难得一见的精彩猎食过程。接着潜艇更将带领我们下潜超过1500公尺深的海底，在水温接近冰点及潜艇表面承受压力超过每平方公分218公斤下，惊险进入海底热泉喷口严峻环境处，饱览超热海水由海底裂缝涌出的惊险画面，以及一旁大型管虫、热泉蟹等等颠覆传统思维的生态体系，这些都是世人从未见过的景像。最后，潜艇巧遇抹香鲸追捕大王鱿鱼群，在一阵惊险混乱碰撞中，潜艇船长实时起动自动快速上升情景中，惊险结束刺激的深海潜航之旅程。

　　本片以港珠澳大桥建设最后一节沉管E30号沉放安装过程为叙述主线，表现了中国桥梁建设者们自力更生、“敢为天下先”的创新精神和艰苦卓绝的奋斗历程，展示了大桥项目涉及水文、地质、白海豚、防台风和满足通航、海事、航空限高等复杂的建设难题，并将大桥主体工程桥、岛、隧三大部分的设计理念和世界领先的关键技术，如万花筒般呈现出来。
　　影片利用多样的拍摄手段，巧妙的剪辑手法，讲述了港珠澳大桥建造期间生动的故事。在刻画了一个个鲜活人物的同时，影片借助文献的力量，搜集了大量珍贵的纪录片视频资料，通过对中国桥梁史的分析，使影片内容更具科学性，影片精神更具传承。

　　National Geographic will release a new documentary film this year about the extreme climber Alex Lowe. Directed by Lowe’s son Max, Torn will explore his father’s life and tragic death, and impact on the family after such a loss.
