　　这部剧集是上世纪九十年代最流行的情景喜剧《Seinfeld》的主创之一拉里·大卫(Larry meijubar.net David)自编自演，根据他在洛杉矶影艺圈的生活创造的喜剧。他把《Seinfeld》的风格推向极端化。HBO因是有线电视所以不需要很大的观众圈，所以HBO上的剧集常常风格独具。《抑制热情》显得特别生活化，很是写意，有很多现场发挥，刚开始播时观众圈不大，之后开始名声见长。拉里·大卫凭此剧获艾美奖2000年度喜剧类剧集最佳男主角提名。
　　本剧是根据拉里-大卫当初在洛杉矶演艺圈的亲身经历改变而成，并由大卫自编自演而成的喜剧。把《Seinfeld》的风格推向了极端化。通过《抑制热情》让观众看到了大卫的正直、大方和谦虚，这位创作大师通过HBO带给观众无数的欢笑。而剧情游弋在真实与虚构之间，大卫和演员们把真实的洛杉矶生活呈现在银幕上，就仿佛有一架摄影机，随时把那真实的经历实况转播给观众一样。更重要的是，本剧本身是没有剧本的，往往依靠演员们的即兴表演赋予演出进度和新鲜感。而这造就了本剧的变幻莫测和与众不同。

　　本剧是英国BBC情景喜剧《办公室》的美国版。

Robert Thorogood adapts his own novels alongside Lucia Haynes (“Vera”) and Julia Gilbert (“Midsomer Murders”), each of whom will write a two-episode murder mystery. Thorogood’s episodes will be an adaptation of his second novel, “Death Comes to Marlow” while Haynes and Gilbert are set to pen brand new stories.

　　《铁拳》的故事灵感来自漫威同名漫画原著。漫画中的“铁拳”丹尼·兰德是一位受训于神秘城市“昆仑”的武学大师，他从不朽巨龙Shou-Lao身上获得神力，能够将气聚入双拳无坚不摧。具有亚裔血统的科琳·温则自幼居住在日本，习得武士的种种技能。一次行动中与兰德相识，从此成为他打击罪恶的得力帮手。
　　这部剧将由漫威、ABC与Netflix联合打造，具体开播时间未定。随着女主角人选公布，制作方也发布了一张概念图以示庆祝。图中的墙面上贴着的海报被撕去一半，残余的部分文字依稀可见，印着“防身武术教学班”“科琳温大师”的字样。

Caroline meanwhile is planning to marry the pregnant Kate, leading to embarrassment for son Lawrence from homophobic fellow pupils. She tells Kate that she feels obliged to tell Celia Alan's secret whilst Alan himself meets Gary in town.
