踏入廿一世纪，凡事都较过往以理性、科学、事实为本，要为离世人士代言，更要讲求证据与专业。陆永联同主持拍档陈欣茵、黄子桐，从法医学的角度，细述一个个经典死亡个案的勘察过程，对多种离奇死亡事件的原因加以讨论。收集当中每一个细微的结果，希望达到破解个案的同时，也可传递法医「为生者谋权，为逝者代言」的职业精神。

通过几位当事人的视角，旁白叙述中动画与资料影像拼接还原出令人揪心的案发经过，它用这种方式使观众能更自然地了解与代入这个发生于50年前的枪击案，其专注于几位当事人关键抉择的悬念塑造，与之后插入的真人采访录像，以及有意忽略凶手的叙事策略，表明影片重点是关于几位普通人的伟大抉择与伤痛回忆。
