极限运动员原和玉(Harry)将担任本节目主持人，沿着台湾的北回归线走访各地，挑战宝岛各式各样的极限运动，包括跑酷、水上飞板、泛舟、跳伞和攀岩。来自美国旧金山的原和玉(Harry)，原本就热爱攀岩、骑机车等户外活动，此次受邀来台拍摄《北回台湾的极限之旅》，一开始就觉得相当兴奋。他表示全球各地北回归线横越之处多是高山、沙漠、热带雨林，而台湾是其中唯一拥有地景、地貌、生态最多样性的地方，他相信有许多险峻的、壮观的、美丽的地点，适合各式各样的极限运动。

“动感亚洲自我挑战越野赛”是由“Action Asia Events”主办的越野挑战竞赛活动，共分为香港、台湾、汶莱、马来西亚、杜拜五站。国家地理频道负责全程转播五个国家所举行的这场竞赛，今年共派出三组摄影队前来台湾，录参赛选手行前准备工作与体能锻炼情形，也将台湾独特的自然景观、人文风貌、美食特产介绍给全世界。

       四位著名音乐人寻找美国最好的声音，指导他们成为艺人。而将由全美观众来决定哪位歌手能获得大奖。
