　　帕特森（亚当·德赖弗 Adam Driver 饰）居住在新泽西州帕特森市，这个和故乡有着相同名字的男人是一名巴士司机，和女友劳拉（歌什菲·法拉哈尼 Golshifteh Farahani 饰）以及一只牛头犬一起过着平淡的同居生活，每天开着巴士重复着相同的路线和波澜不惊的人生。帕特森喜欢写诗，他随身携带着一本笔记本，把脑海中跃动的诗句记录在本子上，但从来都没有想过将自己的诗句出版成册，他的唯一读者只有劳拉。
　　和帕特森截然相反，劳拉是一位天生的艺术家，每天脑袋里都闪现着五花八门的古怪念头，她在窗帘、墙壁甚至自己的衣服上画各种黑白图腾、学吉他、做美味的杯子蛋糕，乐观开朗的她全心全意的热爱着生活。终于，帕特森答应劳拉将自己的作品印刷成册，他的生活是否会因此发生改变呢？

　　随着科技的不断发展，人类赖以生存的地球却受到越来越严重的污染和威胁。某天，一架巨大的飞碟出现在地球上空，引起各国民众一片恐慌，谁也不知道这个不速之客将对他们的命运带来怎样的影响。飞碟最终降落在美国华盛顿公园的中央，当地警察和军队倾巢出动。飞碟被全副武装的军人和好奇的民众团团围住，经过两个小时的对峙，悬梯从飞碟中缓缓探出。随着舱门的打开，一个身形与人类别无二致的外星人克拉图（Michael Rennie 饰）和全身金属的机器人出现在众人面前。这两个外星人似乎为了地球的命运而来，他们表示出友好，却未得到应有的回报……

　　音乐大学学生，同时兼职原稿运送员的桥本巧（竹内力 饰）是个热爱机车的追风青年。偶然机会，他结识了前辈泽田秀政（三浦友和 饰）的妹妹冬美（渡边典子 饰），两人共度了浪漫的夜晚。对桥本来说，这只是机车男子必不可少的露水姻缘；而在纯洁的冬美看来，这便是一段美好爱情的开始。
　　在秀政的责问下，烦恼的桥本独自驾车前往信州旅行，打算好好思考和冬美的关系。但是他在这里却邂逅了开朗外向且喜爱机车的女孩白石美代子（原田貴和子 饰）。回到东京后，桥本结束了与冬美的恋情，与此同时，他与美代子的联系逐渐多了起来。似乎，这预示着另一段恋情的开始……

　　Private investigator and former police detective Jack Ramsey is enjoying an affair with the local district attorney's wife, but when she is strangled not long after he has departed following a session of amorous activity.

　　The elderly caretaker of a remote morgue possesses an impeccable memory for everything but names. He passes his days showing corpses to those searching for their lost ones and tending to his beloved plants. When protest in a nearby city breaks out and the militia covertly raid the morgue to hide civilian casualties, he discovers the body of an unknown young woman. Evoking memories of personal loss, he embarks on a magical odyssey to give her a proper burial with the help of a mystic gravedigger who collects stories of the dead, an old woman searching for her long-lost daughter, and a hearse driver tormented by his past.

　　保险公司调查员古志明（谭咏麟 饰）在雨夜赶回家参加和婚期妻Ivy（叶童 饰）订婚四年的庆祝，不巧雨天路滑，古志明险些撞到一名红衣女子……Ivy为人脾气火爆，古志明虽有不满也只得忍受，当夜古志明胞弟玩起了碟仙游戏，与此同时，名叫张小瑜的红衣女子不慎失足坠楼身亡，正在进行中的碟仙游戏恰好收到了张亡故的信号。次日，古志明奉命调查张小瑜死因以便进行理赔，岂料连串怪异现象在古的身边发生。在古志明和Ivy的关系日益紧张之时，女鬼张小瑜现身古志明家中，申明自己并无恶意，只希望得到保险金赠送邻家女童，而古志明的领导却示意此案按照自杀处理以免去赔付。张小瑜出现的频率愈发增加，而古志明对这位乖巧的女鬼渐渐产生了情愫……

　　一位年轻的画家瓦伦汀，迷失于虚构的世界，偶遇其祖母尼娜。在相聚的几天中，他们漫步于梦幻巴黎的各个街头。瓦伦汀告诉她，他对爱的力不从心。然而，尼娜不愿叙述她痛苦的过去。但为了减轻瓦伦汀的精神负担，她最终谈及了她被关押在集中营的悲惨遭遇。在清晨的阳光下，瓦伦汀试图在他的画作上增加新的色彩，并开始真正的生活。

　　每天清晨都有一辆AE86在秋名山上漂移，而且速度快得惊人，这辆AE86属于藤原豆腐店。藤原拓海（周杰伦 饰）每天清晨都要帮父亲藤原文太（黄秋生 饰）把自家店里的豆腐送到秋名山上的旅店，但这并不是拓海想做的一件事。拓海还会在阿木（杜文泽 饰）家开的加油站做兼职。中里毅（余文乐 饰）向阿木的车队挑战，当中里毅在秋名山练习的时候，竟然被一辆AE86轻易爬过头，中里毅决定打听这辆AE86的消息，要跟他比赛一番。

　　The subject of Danièle Huillet and Jean-Marie Straub’s Der Tod des Empedokles (The Death of Empedocles, 1987) is the Greek pre-Socratic philosopher Empedocles (c. 490 BC – 430 BC), who lived in the Greek colony of Agrigentum in Sicily. His theories are mentioned in several of Plato’s dialogues. He maintained that all matter is made up of four irreducible elements: water, earth, air and fire. A mystic and a poet, he is considered to be the founder of classical rhetoric. He is also thought to be the last Greek philosopher to write in verse; two fragments of his works survive: Katharmoi (Purifications) and Peri Phuseôs (On Nature). An advocate of democracy, he came into conflict with his fellow citizens of Agrigentum and, as result, was banished with his young disciple, Pausanius. When he was asked to return, he preferred to commit suicide by throwing himself into the active volcano at Mount Aetna.
　　The German writer Friedrich Hölderlin wrote two versions of Der Tod des Empedokles in 1798 and 1800, and a final third version in 1820, all three ultimately unfinished. They were conceived as five-act tragedies and all three differ in plot. According to Michael Hamburger, Hölderlin’s English-language translator,
　　the main reason why Hölderlin finished no version of the play must be that he remained too closely identified with Empedocles, at the very period in his life when his own view of the poet as philosopher, prophet and priest – and as tragic hero – was subject to perpetual crisis and re-examination.
　　Huillet-Straub’s The Death of Empedocles is based on Hölderlin’s first version (the longest of the three), whereas Black Sin is based on the third version.

　　Alan Rickman has signed on to play the legendary owner and founder of CBGB in Randall Miller and Jody Savin’s project revolving the seminal New York rock club.
　　Miller will direct the picture from a script he and Savin wrote together. They hope to begin shooting in June, 2012.
