Particle Fever follows six brilliant scientists during the launch of the Large Hadron Collider, marking the start-up of the biggest and most expensive experiment in the history of the planet, pushing the edge of human innovation.
　　As they seek to unravel the mysteries of the universe, 10,000 scientists from over 100 countries joined forces in pursuit of a single goal: to recreate conditions that existed just moments after the Big Bang and find the Higgs boson, potentially explaining the origin of all matter. But our heroes confront an even bigger challenge: have we reached our limit in understanding why we exist?
　　Directed by Mark Levinson, a physicist turned filmmaker, from the inspiration and initiative of producer David Kaplan and masterfully edited by Walter Murch (Apocalypse Now, The English Patient, The Godfather trilogy), Particle Fever is a celebration of discovery, revealing the very human stories behind this epic machine.

　　1949年以前，北京的地名是北平。“北平”这个地名随着新中国的诞生而成为历史，但位于北平以北的“平北”这个名词，却承载着浴血抗战英烈的壮举而历久弥新。
　　八十多年前，内忧外患的中国狼烟四起，北平已放不下一张书桌。
　　具有民族担当的中国共产党人组织北平学生抗日救亡。参加学运的骨干后来成为八路军知识分子团的骨干力量，为开辟平北抗日根据地血染长城内外。
　　平北抗日根据地处于华北抗战最前沿, 对平西抗日根据地起了“挡箭牌”的作用；并成为冀东抗日根据地的交通站及战略依托点，牵制、抗击了大量华北日伪军，对晋察冀乃至华北抗战的胜利都具有重要影响。
　　该片讲述1938年至1945年间，八路军3次挺进平北，以及八路军中唯一的知识分子团----晋察冀挺进军第十团，以极大的牺牲与艰苦抗争开辟平北抗日根据地的故事。影片以主人公白乙化为代表的一二九学运骨干和以段苏权为代表工农红军，在民族危亡的时刻挺身而出，胸怀民族大义和家国担当，高举青春战旗，深入敌人的心脏虎口拔牙，依据党的建设、武装斗争、统一战线三大法宝，在平北建立基层人民政权、建立抗敌军分区司令部，带领平北人民英勇抗战。

　　由于女演员在片场发生了危机性命的意外，亦由于一直教导的学生投靠了他人的麾下，导演金基德长久以来对于电影的执念发生了动摇，年逾五十的他发现原本高产的自己竟然再也没有了拍电影的热情与冲动。于是，失意的导演选择过起了离群索居的生活，在物质条件极为简陋的高山之上开始了自我质疑和质问的心灵旅程，他用摄像机拍下了这一段困顿生活中的自问自答，经过剪辑，于是有了这部电影。
　　拍电影究竟是为了什么？将那些饱受争议的画面和意向放置在电影里又有着怎样的意义？即使是金基德，也给不出标准的答案。唯一能够确定的，是他已将电影融入了生命，情到深处人孤独，在《阿里郎》的歌声里，除了电影本身之外，一切都显得不再那么重要……

　　本片以台湾美食为起点，串联起一个个普通台湾人的生活，反应出不同阶层、不同民族、不同年龄的台湾人对于当前两岸政治、历史以及未来发展的看法

　　公元618年，在华夏历史上占有最重要的地位的唐帝国建立。帝国建立不久，唐高祖李渊的次子——秦王李世民发动玄武门之变，诛杀同胞兄弟，如愿坐上皇帝宝座。为了向父亲展现孝道，唐高宗在长安城东北方向主持修建大明宫，以作太上皇避暑的离宫。公元664年，雄壮巍峨的大明宫落成，它占地五千多亩，相当于五百个足球场大小。从唐太宗开始，这座帝国至高无上的权力中心，在222年的岁月里见证了唐王朝的起伏兴衰，贞观之治、开元盛世，是大唐最值得称道的荣耀顶点，而安史之乱、甘露之变、黄巢起义、宦官专权、藩镇割据则接二连三在帝国的肌体上留下永远无法愈合的血型伤疤。
　　战火和尘埃带走了幻灭盛景，而今的人们只能从半埋泥土中的断井残垣遥想纵隔千年的盛世繁华……

　　His passion for combat sports wasn't keeping him alive so survival mode kicked in for Michael and he was forced to take normal jobs, including working in factories, slaughterhouses, demolition companies; in addition to working as an upholsterer, postman, tiler, plasterer, and salesman. In his later years though, Michael's career as a UFC fighter would take off and he would become one of the sports fan favorites, but with any combat sport comes the shrapnel of getting kicked and punched in the face on a nightly basis. In a controversial fight against the steroid-induced Victor Belfort, the unthinkable would happen to change the course of Bisping's life forever. He would suffer a detached retina from a blow and kick to the head that would disfigure and scar the fighter forever, threatening to end a career he has sacrificed everything for. With a wife and kids that love him, they plead for the battered and bruised fighter to hang up the gloves, as they feel he has nothing left to prove. But in the end that decision is left to only one man: Michael Bisping.

　　What could the fate of the Villa Empain, Baron Empain’s crazy project in Brussels, which has gone through a long and eventful journey since its completion in 1934, possibly inspire? Katharina Kastner’s challenge was to draw the portrait of the place, keeping in mind the work of time, like in a human existence. Shot in 16mm, her film appeals to the senses, it captures the stirring of leaves undulating in the garden light, the movement of iridescent pearls, or the colourful games of
a piece by Daniel Buren. Without a word, but with a caressing camera, she pays close attention to the hidden patterns on the gorgeous marbles, or to the veins in the most precious types of wood used to decorate the rooms. In slight touches, regardless of the monumental aspect of the 27.000 square-feet villa and the pool that so impressed its first visitors, Katharina Kastner o ers an organic vision of the place, which has been marked by the trials and tribulations of life, and used successively as a museum, an embassy and a squat, until its final renovation. The clever editing makes furtive connections, underlines colour associations, mixes up times and tactile sensations, while the spaces we explore keep rustling. The film takes us on a reminiscing journey, with slices of Empain’s life, from the family archive here on a holiday, there playing on the beach, images from a distant past that keep haunting the premises. The film reveals to us this living space that was designed like a piece of art, but it does so in a wandering way. This dream vision guides us through the villa like an echo of foregone fantasies, a mental space, but also a welcoming backdrop for the work of time. A bit like the fingerprint work we see in the film, or the slight touch of a pencil on a blank sheet.

　　史蒂芬·霍金在一档全新的科学节目中展示了我们真正的潜力。《史蒂芬·霍金天才实验室》第一季中有三位志愿者，通过一系列有趣的心理和生理挑战，我们得以观察他们是否能够解决一些历史上的难题——那些连最伟大的天才们也也苦苦思索的问题，例如：我们是孤独的吗？我可以时间旅行吗？我们究竟在哪？我们是什么？宇宙是从哪里来的？我们为什么在这里？节目中每一集都聚焦其中一个问题。开始是设定了一个挑战，然后通过趣味性的演示来确定问题的规模，然后会有进一步的挑战给到志愿者们，促使他们进行前所未有的思考，就像通过科学史上那些解开谜团的天才们一样。从鲜为人知的思想家，如古希腊的阿里斯塔克斯，到更为著名的伟人，如伽利略、牛顿、爱因斯坦和霍金本人，天才们把这些发现串成了一个引人入胜且富含启发性的系列节目。在每一场节目结束时，志愿者们都会对科学有一个令人振奋的全新认识。霍金引导他们认识了一个令人惊奇的宇宙中，这些经历将使他们毕生难忘。挑战的项目、惊喜的设计和成功的喜悦让这些知识变得相对容易被普通观众所接受，在看过节目之后，人们可能意识到自己真正理解了问题的答案。

由获奖导演、作家兼制作人Frederic Lumiere利用多达上千小时的档案和拍摄素材、从未公布的日记、国会图书馆的录音资料为历史频道History Channel制作的10集高清纪录片透过在二战中邂逅的一群人的眼睛，以高清彩色画面讲述了二战的故事。
这场文明之间最大的冲突已被无数次提及。一个法国人在德国士兵们从凯旋门下行进时情不自禁地哭泣、美军在摺钵山竖起旗帜、蘑菇云在广岛上空升起等都是让人“眼熟能详”的画面。历史频道用最新的技术和自己的方式重现了这段历史（2009年秋上映），为此观众们等了半个世纪之久。利用高清全彩画面、 1500小时经过恢复的档案资料和新拍摄的影像素材、此前从未公布的日记和记录以及国会图书馆音频资料，历史频道为观众打开了一个了解这场战争的独特窗口，让观众透过那些在二战中邂逅的一群人的眼睛来审视这场战争。在历史上或历史频道的记载里从来没有一个电视节目能如此生动地捕捉到这场改变世界的战争中极致的恐怖、不屈不挠的精神、平凡琐事以及无上辉煌的荣誉。
这是历史频道至今最为雄心勃勃的纪录片，而且在接受《好莱坞报道》采访时，历史频道称它会“让人感到叹为观止”。作为这部纪录片的制作人兼导演，我自然忙得不可开交。如果只待在工作室里做这个项目肯定无法达到历史频道的目标。我得转战诺曼底、纽约，甚至更多地方。因为跨越多个时区而且各地相距甚远，这个项目更加需要一个可控的工作流程。
历史频道的《WWII in HD》由获奖导演和剪辑师、业界公认的高清制作和后期制作领域的领导人物Frederic Lumiere制作和执导。制作过《The Magic of Fatima》等作品的Lumiere推动了RED数字摄影机的发展并创建了Lumiere HD。

　　兩人的基層家庭生活寫照，以及這種「互相照顧」的經歷，在這裡比比皆是。內地出生的董汝峰、譚志澤，甚至班上最受男生歡迎的黃嘉琪都有著同樣故事：家人為孩子們前途著想，毅然來到香港，屈膝於狹窄的房間裡生活；但對孩子們而言，一下子面對成長環境的改變，重新追溯另一個地方的認同和價值，是一種值得的「投資」嗎？一次上電視的經歷，卻改變了佘偉豪的故事。
　　到底「家庭」對這群小孩子來說，是怎麼一回事？究竟社會的「成就」指標，與家長望子成龍的渴望，在他們而言，又是什麼？假如探聽孩子們對家長，對成年人，甚至對社會存有什麼「期望」，答案在成年人眼中是否不值一提？
　　即使生活在不安定的環境中，孩子依然會努力嘗試展現其生命力，這是成年人不欲或無暇去理解的，亦是「子非魚，焉知魚之樂」的本義。
　　J and Jacky have been best friends and inseparable since they met in the first grade. Born in Hong Kong, J was raised single-handedly by his mother, who was a mainland Chinese. Together they shared a subdivided unit of no more than three meter wide. Every time when J's mother had to go back to the mainland for "permit renewal", she left him with Jacky's family. However, J's life changed after he went on television one day...
