　　在一个平凡的日子里，中年男子克莱德（杰弗里·迪恩·摩根 Jeffrey Dean Morgan 饰）从前妻斯蒂芬妮（凯拉·塞吉维克 Kyra Sedgwick 饰）处接来两个女儿汉娜（麦蒂森·达文波特 Madison Davenport 饰）和艾米莉（娜塔莎·凯利斯 N atasha Calis 饰）和自己共度假日时光。当他们驱车周游社区时，刚好瞥见邻居正在甩卖自己的物品。艾米莉看中了一个老旧但独特别致的木匣子，此时她尚不知道，这是一个隐藏着恐怖秘密而且绝对不允许打开的盒子。盒子一旦开启，厄运如影随形，艾米莉和家人的噩梦就此开始……
　　本片根据《洛杉矶时报》记者莱斯利·戈尔斯坦（Leslie Gornstein）依据真实事件创作的《盒子里的恶灵》（Jinx in a Box）改编。

　　讲述Leon为了修补他和十几岁儿子之间的关系，带着儿子到了某个深山露营。第二天早上Leon醒来却发现儿子失踪了，万分焦急的他在寻找过程中刚发现在这座深山中的神秘组织，这个神秘组织召唤出了可怕的恶魔危害人间。

　　20世纪70年代，在日本中小学生中间流传着这样一个恐怖的传说：放学独自走到公园附近时，会遇到一个带着白色口罩、穿红色风衣的女人。遇到路过者，她会摘下口罩，露出裂到耳朵的恐怖大嘴，问对方“我漂亮吗？”如回答不漂亮，她会将对方毁容；若回答漂亮，她就将对方变得和自己一样；如果逃跑，她会以极快的速度追上。这个女人的名字就叫：裂口女。
　　各学校一时间人心惶惶，男女学生们都怕碰到这个可怕的女人，而大人们却对这个谣言嗤之以鼻。但随着一场不详的地震发生，裂口女终于到来……

　　Stuart Gordon, considered a master of the horror genre thanks to classics like Re-Animator and Dagon, decides to do a different move in this strange trip to human morals.
　　
　　"King of the Ants" is about a regular guy, Sean Crawley(newcomer Chris McKenna), a man without any aspiration who just live in his apartment doing the necessary job to live to the next day. In one of his jobs he meets Duke(Gearge Wendt), who introduces Sean to his boss, Ray Matthews(played by Daniel Baldwin). Ray hires Sean as a spy, and orders him to follow Eric Gatlin(Roy Livingstone), an accountant who has been investigating Ray's company. Problems start when Ray, while drunk, orders Sean to kill Eric. And he does it. Things go wrong when Ray decides to make Sean disappear destroying his mind with violent punishment and humiliation.
　　
　　From the point where Sean kills Eric, we go in the same boat with him, as he goes through a downward spiral of human degradation, traveling from guilt, to confusion and finally to his rebirth, in a state where humanity, morals and values are not important anymore. Chris McKenna acting is very important because he manages to be likable even when he is part of gruesome acts, both as victim and/or criminal. He has that look of innocence that hides a dark side and he manages to carry the film.
　　
　　The support cast also includes Kari Wuhrer, as Eric's widow who also becomes a central part of Sean's trip to hell. She gives a fine performance, although it's obvious that Sean is the main character. He is the most developed of all and McKenna's performance is up to the challenge.
　　
　　The film has very disturbing images of violence, and while it may not be as graphic as "Kill Bill" for example, the strength of the violence is in the lack of humanity that the character manifest. He is more than an ant in this world. He is the king.
　　
　　Stuart Gordon has managed to create a film that, while maybe it's not one of his best efforts; it's very well done, has a VERY interesting story to tell, and manages to capture the attention every second of it.

　　影片讲述令人闻风丧胆的糖人再度回来了，今次目的是要说服他那个当艺术家的女后人，跟他一样成为鼎鼎大名的人物的故事。

　　广东省中山县的一方富豪葛大富和损友王八见面就吵架，他们的吵闹基因不仅影响到各自经营的武馆精武社和武圣堂，也遗传给了他们的儿子葛长寿（曾志伟 饰）和王明星（倪星 饰）。长寿、阿星同时喜欢青梅竹马的女孩秀秀（黄秀玲 饰），阿星仪表堂堂，与秀秀互生爱慕，反之长寿则形容猥琐，骄横散漫，丝毫不得秀秀的喜爱。
　　话说长寿刚出生之时，一眉道长（林正英 饰）曾算定他寿年不过二十三，月圆之夜定是索命之时。在一个满月时分，长寿和两个狐朋狗友偷窥秀秀洗澡，结果心神不定跌落屋顶，吓死了秀秀，他反借秀秀一口阳气度过难关。而秀秀则变成不穿衣服的羞羞鬼……

　　邦、 雯新婚小别。雯无意中到一大宅，惨遭血魔强奸，并被吸干血液而死。雯死不心息，仍留人间与邦再聚，更要向血魔报仇，但为了保持容貌，她变成一个吸血鬼……

　　在僧人Nong、First和Balloon完成他们承诺的任务并且赢得与Nak Nont的鬼魂的战斗之后，Thamma Nakanimitr寺庙恢复了往日的平静。这三个僧人希望过上平静的僧侣生活，但是不就之后，有一些事情发生了，僧人Balloon和First偷偷地收拾行李并在半夜离开了这座寺庙。僧人Nong与新来的僧人Nott和Odd一起留在了这座鬼魂出没的寺庙里。
　　过了一段时间，又发生另一个意想不到的转折：Balloo和First再次回到被摧毁、折磨的寺庙，而且感到非常震惊。在他们离开这座寺庙回归想要的世俗生活之后，却又一个新的鬼魂追赶恐吓他们，而且非常咄咄逼人，所以他们决定再回来寺庙寻找僧侣的庇护——没有一个僧侣可以毫发无损地厉害——这两个男孩正面临着另一场混乱。

　　尽管这个新的鬼魂一直困扰着他们，但是最后有一个希望，当Balloon和First遇到一个准备去同一个寺庙受戒的韩国-泰国歌手Toh Min-jun。为什么这座寺庙的僧侣不可能安然无恙地离开呢？2个同性朋友Balloon和 First是否能够再次生存到受戒的那一天？

　　2004年1月8日，一位自称莲美的女性好不容易走到了这个世界上不存在的如月车站的异界站，在网络论坛2ch上发表了自己的经验之谈。在直播中记录恐怖体验的莲美在那之后查无音信（11年也有自称莲美的生存报告，但真伪不明）。担心莲美的留言络绎不绝，还进行了各种各样的考察，被称为现代版神隐。

　　居住在埃兰谷的姬尔·强森（凯米拉·贝尔 Camilla Belle 饰）是一个普普通通女高中生，由于她煲电话粥过长，因此父亲本（克拉克·格莱格 Clark Gregg 饰）命令她当保姆赚取花费。万般无奈，姬尔只得应征来到曼卓基斯医生（Derek de Lint 饰）的家中。曼卓基斯及其夫人凯丽（Kate Jennings Grant 饰）住在一幢豪华的湖畔别墅中，屋内的装饰奢侈高贵，令姬尔目不暇接。她当晚的工作很简单，就是在曼卓基斯夫妇外出用餐时留下看家，并照顾他们两个正在生病的孩子。不久夜色降临，偌大的别墅内显得空空荡荡，冷清吊诡。正在此时，一通通神秘的电话接连打了进来，令姬尔变得恐慌与不安……

　　Sarah, a struggling young woman living in Brooklyn, agrees to volunteer as an experimental subject for a pharmaceutical company called Dynamic Health Cure to be the bearer of LEXX and make money to solve her financial troubles and take care of her mother who has Alzheimer's. A nano chip is planted into her cerebral cortex and designed to take control of the body in order to contain diseases as soon as they occur. But when the implant with artificial intelligence turns sinister and orders her to commit crimes, Sarah is plunged into a murderous spiral with only one choice: to live or die.
