　　We take our liberties for granted. They seem absolute and untouchable. But they are the result of a series of violent struggles fought over 800 years that, at times, have threatened to tear our society apart. On the frontline was a document originally inked on animal skin – Magna Carta. Distinguished constitutional historian David Starkey looks at the origins of the Great Charter in 1215 to check the abuses of King John - and how it nearly died at birth. He explores its subsequent deployment, its contribution to making everyone – even the monarch – subject to the rule of law, and how this quintessentially English document migrated to the North American colonies and eventually became the foundation of the US constitution. Magna Carta has become a universal symbol of individual freedom against the tyranny of the state, but with ever-tightening government control on our lives, is it time to resurrect it?

　　The glittering ladies of Bravo Media’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are back for season seven on Tuesday, December 6 at 9:00pm ET/PT with extravagant trips, outlandish fun and unimaginable indiscretions as Erika Girardi, Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, and Eileen Davidson are joined by new housewife Dorit Kemsley and friend Eden Sassoon.
　　Lisa Vanderpump’s friend Dorit is the glamorous and charming wife of Paul “PK” Kemsley, a wealthy English businessman turned high powered talent manager representing the likes of '80s icon Boy George and soccer superstar Pelé. A mother of two young children, Dorit balances the demands of overseeing her husband’s company while parenting alongside her many nannies.
　　Eden Sassoon, a friend of Lisa Rinna and the daughter of late style icon Vidal Sassoon, is expanding her own salon and Pilates business in an effort to continue her father’s legacy.  Having overcome a battle with alcoholism, the free-spirited and outspoken Eden is committed to having fun and looking for love when she is not fulfilling her parenting duties as a single mother.

　　Jane Austen remains one of the greatest writers of all time. Almost two hundred years after her death, her novels such as “Pride and Prejudice” and “Mansfield Park” continue to entrance generations of readers the world over. This film shatters any assumption that Austen herself lived the elegant Regency life of her financially comfortable heroines who ultimately find their true love.
　　Instead it reveals the real Jane Austen as part of strata of Regency society much crueller in its treatment of women and harsher in its economic realities than her novels and their current television adaptations convey. And it discovers a woman more tragic in her own personal love life who does not enjoy the “happy ending” that she bestows upon her own female characters.
　　Through readings and dramatic reconstructions, The Real Jane Austen pieces together the reality of Austen’s existence her modest upbringing in Hampshire as one of seven children of a clergyman; her disappointment in love; and the family’s poverty following the death of her father.
　　Through her writing Jane found financial independence without having to marry. Tragically only four years later in July 1817 while writing “Persuasion” Jane Austen died.
　　Filmed in locations associated with Austen including Jane’s birth place of Steventon and her later home in Chawton, and illustrated with extracts from film and television adaptations of Austen’s work, The Real Austen paints a vivid portrait of one of the greatest talents in English literature.

　　Tempers flare on deck as the crew hustles to prepare the boat for their first group of charter guests, a larger-than-life group of fun-loving southerners.
