　　Silverprint Pictures为ITV制作4集新剧《The Long Call》。
　　本剧改编自《探长薇拉》原著作者Ann Cleeves的同名小说，该小说是自她二十年来首个新系列"Two Rivers"中的第一本。
　　剧集以英格兰西南部的德文郡为背景。警督Matthew Venn回到德文郡北部，和他的丈夫Jonathan在一个小社区安了新家。
　　二十年前，被家人排斥的Matthew，离开了曾经成长的福音派社区，那是一个要求严格的社区。如今Matthew回来了，不仅仅是站在父亲葬礼举行的教堂外，远远地悼念，更是为了负责自己的第一桩重大谋杀案。在Matthew新家附近的海滩上发现了一具尸体，一个脖子上有信天翁文身的男子被刺死了。
　　这起案件把Matthew带回到一个潜藏着谋杀和阴谋的社区。而这一切都发生在德文郡北部美丽惊人的海岸线边。

　　第四季中，Eve、Villanelle和Carolyn处于非常不同的境地。两人在桥上交心之后，Eve踏上了复仇之路，Villanelle找到了一个全新团体，试图证明自己不是一个“怪物”。而Carolyn在解决叛徒Paul后，继续不遗余力地追查「十二门徒」和下令杀死Kenny的那个人。

　　背景设定在一个平均水准酒店中的104号房间，剧集将讲述每集该房间的不同房客，他们形形色色的故事。

　　CW电视台早在五月份就曾宣布，《尼基塔》将会在第四季的六集过后跟大家再见。
　　在新季开始之初，由于背负暗杀总统的罪名，Nikita独自一人开始逃亡。为了证明清白，她必须要重组她的队伍，一起将背后操控这场阴谋的Amanda拿下。然而，Nikita却在行动中发现了更大的阴谋。
