　　《科技新探恶魔岛》使用最先进的视觉效果“抽干”了恶名昭彰的恶魔岛周围的水。随着水的流失，揭露了恶魔岛的秘密，包括为什么岛上臭名昭著的监狱如此难以逃脱的确切原因。没有水的干扰，我们发现旧金山湾是一个迷人且嘈杂的地方。在干涸的湾底，我们看到了史诗般的地震留下的裂痕。这些断层线使科学家们知道下一个“大地震”会在何时何地发生。由于整个区域都排干了水，因此有可能看到下一次大地震袭击旧金山时会发生什么，以及尘埃落定后恶魔岛将剩下什么。

　　“想做的事情必须在当下完成。这样的话即使你被判刑20年，当你出狱后，你的前方依然还有完整的人生。”这是少年犯对于这个世界的理解，这些少年犯往往是十岁就开始学习射击，二十岁就成为有经验的杀手，但往往都活不到三十岁。在意大利的那不勒斯，一群好战的小孩正在进行一场被遗忘的战争，目前死亡人数已达60人。当地人认为他们就是一群控制当地毒品交易的叛逆青年。在影片第一幕里，少年犯的老大们敞开胸怀，非常直率地介绍他们自己。他们是一群没有参加过国家义务教育的年轻人，很多人基本都不会讲意大利语，但他们说出的话充满了愤怒、危险的力量。

　　2014年，一名2岁的泰国女孩Einz被诊断为脑癌，经过十余次的手术治疗却仍无法挽救这年轻的小生命，Einz的父母均为医疗工程博士，他们决定在女儿离世后对其身体组织进行冷冻，她的遗体被保存在美国亚利桑那州的一个实验室中，他们希望未来的科技可将她复活。本片跟随拍摄了Einz 的家庭——她的父亲、母亲及哥哥是如何作出这个不寻常的决定的，这一举动也遭到了泰国甚至世界范围的讨论，但是Einz父亲还是希望给女儿留下这个生存的机会，而Einz哥哥也因妹妹的离别受到触动，投身于科学学习，希望在未来这项新兴的冷冻技术会有更深入的研究成果。

　　At the time of the Polish social regime, a security officer is promoted to work at a prison yard. Introducing concurrently with the narrator; he speaks of himself, his thoughts, his point of view. He tells that he is not afraid of bandits or gangs; on the contrary he gets a kick out armed conflicts. To get a start in his new duty, he shops for a watchdog; and he buys an untrained attack dog as his companion. Then he speaks of the adjudications that the death sentence for fugitives is lacking influence. From his point of view, the judicatory tribunal must execute the fugitives in public. In the morning the next day he wears his uniform and start working with pride.
　　Whilst he is on his duty, a very harmonic music score begins to be played on the piano. The watchman spectates the peaceful life on the street. At that time we catch on that socialism is not a governmental regime; yet it's an uneducated behavior.
　　As a final scene the watchman witnesses of a cadet school's pupils being taught of the democracy. He leaves us with a confused smile.
　　A soft and likable thesis from the Polish director Kieslowski. You can find this short documentary as a special feature in his DVD of A Short Film About Killing. It could help you to compass his film language.

　　This documentary combines recent interviews and old footage to provide a comprehensive view of The Clash, one of the world's most influential rock bands. Footage from old club shows and stadium concerts is intercut with interviews with band members Mick Jones, Paul Simonon, Topper Headon, and Joe Strummer. The Clash began as rebellious punks eager to combine their influences: Simonon leaned towards reggae, and Jones leaned toward harder-edged British rock, while Strummer favored American R&B. Despite various fights and conflicts, The Clash emerged as "the only band that mattered," a punk rock band which ventured beyond punk to create a unique and unforgettable sound. Having successfully tracked down NBA enigma Bryant Reeves in 2018’s festival hit FINDING BIG COUNTRY, director Kathleen S. Jayme now investigates a sprawling true sports crime: who’s responsible for robbing us of the Vancouver Grizzlies?
In revisiting the short history of the bad luck bears who racked up all the wrong kinds of records (see that 23-game losing streak in the 1995-1996 season), Jayme’s documentary doubles as a testament to the enduring passion of true teal blue fans. It’s this passion that fuels a dogged odyssey that finds Jayme infiltrating corridors of power at the NBA’s head offices and knocking on doors as she connects the dots and reconnects with the heroes and villains of Grizzlies lore, including former players like Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Mike Bibby, and the team’s architect, Stu Jackson.
The level of access is astonishing—there are “gets” that we don’t dare reveal—and so too is the candour of the interviewees. What emerges is a rousing story about the irrational fervour of fandom and sport’s unique ability to create identity, strengthen family ties, and forge community.
