　　Extras是由BBC 2001年播出的大热喜剧The Office制片Ricky Gervais和编剧Stephen Merchant再度携手推出的一部力作，播出第一集后即好评如潮。
　　Gervais在剧中扮演Andy Millman，一名为圆从影梦而从银行辞职，却始终只能演些小配角的家伙。
　　实际上，他甚至很少能得到一个有台词的角色，为此他整天呆在演员休息室，同其他临时演员一起，包括他的好友Maggie Jacobs，羡慕着那些主角们。Stephen Merchant在剧中扮演Andy的经纪人。
　　每集的Extras都将会安排一段特别的剧情，由不同的客座明星来客串，第二季中有奥兰多布鲁姆（魔戒精灵弓箭手），罗伯特德尼罗，丹尼尔雷德克利夫（哈里波特），伊恩麦柯莱恩（魔戒），克里斯马汀（酷玩合唱团主唱）

　　KJ Apa扮演主人公Archie Andrews，是个拥有典型青少年反叛期特征的高中二学生。暑假在老爸公司打工，在几个心仪对象中犹豫不决。同时犹豫不决的，还有写作兴趣、音乐兴趣、老爸的期许和橄榄球比赛之间的取舍。
　　Lili Reinhart将扮演暗恋男主Archie Andrews已久的Betty Cooper，甜美、好学、喜欢讨好别人，但是现在已经厌倦了当好女儿、好学生、好姐姐。而Cole Sprouse将扮演Archie Andrews的死党Jughead Jones，是个粗心大意的家伙。
　　Luke Perry扮演主人公Archie的老爸Fred Andrews。不过这次电视剧跟漫画有较大出入。Fred Andrews是一家建筑公司老板，希望他儿子终有一天接受他的公司。所以他每个暑假都让他儿子到他公司上班，熟悉业务。
