　　The only person Gemma has left in her life is her dad Malcolm (David Morrissey), who is kind hearted but useless – he can't load a washing machine, boil an egg or change the Wi-Fi password. Malcolm is suffering from the collapse of his family and living in a bedsit for divorced men.
　　Which is how Gemma and her dad end up living in Gemma's flat. She needs support at a critical time in a woman's life, he needs help microwaving rice without it exploding.
　　At its heart Daddy Issues is a classic odd couple comedy about two funny, deeply flawed characters, who just happen to be father and daughter. Along the way there will be dating disasters and failed romances, toxic friendships and messy family dynamics, plus a dangerously sociopathic antenatal teacher.

　　瓦莉卡（皮查雅·瓦塔那蒙迪里 Pechaya Wattanamontri 饰）是衔着金汤匙出生的千金大小姐，从小在家里集万千宠爱于一身。可是，幸运之神并没有眷顾她太久，从很小的时候起，瓦莉卡就因为患上了小儿麻痹症而丧失了行动能力，终身都要在轮椅上度过。这悲剧剥夺了瓦莉卡很多的快乐，也让她没有办法交朋友，陪在她身边的，只有阿莹和帕达（塔纳朋·凌态苏 Thanapon Nimtaisuk 饰）。
　　久而久之，瓦莉卡爱上了英俊帅气的帕达。尽管帕达决定出国留学，要在国外留学10年之久，瓦莉卡也依然耐心的等待着他的归来，幻想着和他携手共度剩下的人生。
