　　The first series, Ben, a dentist, and Susan, the worst cook in the world, are certainly loving, caring parents, they just have a problem showing it. Ben seems to be confused as to how much time and money his kids demand from him. Susan has to juggle motherhood, a career and a husband and does not have enough time to manage everything including improving her cooking skills. Nick is always working on his next hair-brained scheme to keep him amused. Janey, like any normal teenage daughter feels that her parents are seriously embarrassing whilst Michael keeps his head in his books to get away from the noise.

两个不同的陌生人相互关联的生活，各自面临各自的斗争，透过英国尘垢和钻孔音乐的棱镜，展现了伦敦内城的视角。

影片以戛纳、蔚蓝海岸为背景，以一种愉悦的幽默为基调，讲述了一名理想主义、雄心勃勃的女警察与一名躲避警察和暴徒追捕的加拿大前骗子和假钞大师之间的关系。这对搭档被迫结成了一个不太可能的——但却出人意料地成功——打击犯罪的伙伴关系，他们在每集结尾都能侦破一起谋杀案。然而，这部剧的长线集中在主角寻找陷害她父亲的罪犯的过程中。她父亲是当地的英雄警察，因一桩他没有犯下的谋杀罪而入狱。

　　Set-in present-day Europe, War of the Worlds is a multi-faceted series, based on the story by H.G. 　　The Girl Before tells the story of Jane (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), who gets the chance to move into a beautiful, ultra-minimalist house designed by an enigmatic architect (David Oyelowo). There’s just one catch: occupants have to abide by his list of exacting rules. Jane starts to feel the house changing her in unexpected ways, but when she makes the shocking discovery that her predecessor Emma died in the house, she’s forced to confront unnerving similarities. As the two women’s timelines interweave, Jane begins to question if her fate will be the same as the girl before…

　　故事发生在19世纪末一座位于牛津郡的小小村庄里。劳拉（奥莉薇娅·哈琳安 Olivia Hallinan 饰）的母亲即将临盆，为了给新生儿挪地方，家人们决定将劳拉送到隔壁镇的邮局工作，由居住在那里的表姐道卡斯（茱莉亚·萨瓦哈 Julia Sawalha 饰）照顾。初来乍到的劳拉因为土气的装扮和内向的个性，在新环境里处处遭到排挤，好在温柔的道卡斯一直都坚定的支持着她。

　　英国ITV开始根据英国女作家Val McDermid的破案小说Dr.Tony Hill中的故事"Mermaids Singing"和"Shadows Rising"改编的英国悬疑破案剧集。之后又由其他人续写，后来在第四季度第二集"Torment"又改编自Val McDermid的Dr.Tony Hill中的故事"The Torment of Others"。
　　Dr. Tony Hill 这个角色是个大学里面的法庭心理学家，他一起与一位非常干练的女刑事探员Carol Jordan 合作破了一个又一个非常棘手的悬疑案件！
