　　Waldo and Irene have been living with Margit for the four years that they have been engaged. Margit has planned the wedding and the honeymoon - in fact, Margit plans everything down to what they will have for breakfast every day. The only problem is that Waldo is a milquetoast and Irene does not want to be married to a milquetoast. 　　在台北市即将进入联考的紧张又炎热的夏天里，刘志强整天幻想着带暗恋的女孩去绿岛上坐潜水艇游海底，做着“热带鱼”的美梦。在又一次令父母失望的模考成绩下，他偶然在电视上看见一起绑架案，试图只身解救小孩没想到自己反被抓了去。绑匪阿庆（林正盛 饰）是自乡下来台北混世的打工仔，勒索失败后他把两个小孩带回了家。阿庆全家人生活困顿却其乐融融，一面悉心安顿两个小孩的生活另一面想办法如何获得高额的绑票。阿庆甚至找来辍学妹妹阿娟闲置的书本让刘志强继续复习。最终，警察还是找到了被阿庆带到海上逃避追捕的刘志强，可刘志强却否认阿庆是绑匪……

　　Charlie and a rival vie for the favors of their landlady. In the park they each fall different girls, though Charlie's has a male friend already. Charlie considers suicide, is talked out of it by a policeman, and later throws his girl's friend into the lake. Frightened, the girls go off to a movie. Charlie shows up there and flirts with them. Later both rivals substitute themselves for the girls and attack the unwitting Charlie. In an audience-wide fight, Charlie is tossed from the screen.

Fortunately, Tora-san arrives home and explains everything. Junko has mistaken him as her father because he has always sent money to Junko"s mother, thanking her for her hospitality when he was very desperate in Yamagata about ten years ago. When Junko tells him that her mother has passed away a year ago, he is crushed and determined to visit her mother"s grave... When Tora-san comes back, an archeology student Reiko (Kashiyama Fumie) comes to rent the place, and he takes this opportunity to pursue learning, and love. However, her teacher Keiji is also there, which makes it difficult for Tora-san.

Leo (Alex González), the love and biggest mistake of her life, the man who tore her heart apart, obliterated her self-esteem and her faith in men, comes back into her life to turn everything upside down. Maca has tried to forget him, but now she has to accept that he has returned and face the emotions she has locked away to deal with the unforgettable memory of what could have been and never was. Old wounds are reopened and Maca will have to be brave and confront her conflicts, fears and insecurities in order to finally take control of her life.

　　安迪·加西亚、艾莫里·科恩、梅根·福克斯、露西·海尔将出演布莱恩·佩索斯([雷劈脸])自编自导的处女作长片[游手好闲](Big Gold Brick，暂译)。本片执行制片人奥斯卡·伊萨克将在其中饰演配角。故事讲述初出于世的作家塞缪尔·利斯顿(科恩饰)与一个中年父亲弗洛伊德·德维罗(加西亚饰)之间的故事。谜一样的弗洛伊德有两个孩子，他邀请塞缪尔为他写传记。但写作过程随后被混乱所阻碍。
