2025年10月10日，庆祝朝鲜劳动党成立80周年阅兵式在平壤金日成广场隆重举行，朝鲜劳动党总书记、国务委员长金正恩出席并发表讲话。

2025年10月11日，据朝中社报道，朝鲜武装力量各军种和兵种组成的徒步方队及尖端装备方队陆续受阅。新型“火星炮－20”型洲际弹道导弹现身阅兵式。

报道说，阅兵式现场升国旗、奏国歌，鸣礼炮二十一响。金正恩在讲话中说，捍卫国家主权、维护人民安全与利益，是朝鲜军队肩负的至高无上的任务和绝对使命。朝鲜军队必须继续发展成为所向无敌的实体，消除一切逼近防卫圈的威胁。

讲话结束后，朝鲜武装力量阅兵方队在国防相努光铁带领下正式开始受阅行进。

报道说，各历史时期的象征方队、名誉骑兵方队等亲卫部队方队首先通过金日成广场；南部边境前线军团方队、一线野战武力阅兵方队、海军方队和空军方队紧随其后；战略军方队、特种作战军方队和海外作战部队方队等众多方队接受检阅。

“火星炮－20”型洲际弹道导弹方队最后驶入广场，现场欢呼声达到高潮。朝中社10日报道称，此次亮相的“火星炮－20”型洲际弹道导弹系朝鲜“最强核战略武器系统”。
