　　Jared Harris饰演Francis Crozier，是惊恐号的船长，是远征队的第二指挥，他是个智慧的水手及船长，但身为爱尔兰人令他在皇家海军的仕途上到了瓶颈位（原文是glass ceiling，这是种指因为某人的性别或身份或某自身原因下，在虽然没明文下，仍然被限制了升迁），令他对能成名及政治生涯都不抱期待。
