　　40个实习医生为了一个家知名医院（其实就是House那个医院）的3个转正名额进行无数轮的PK选秀，会是什么样的场景？如果你是House医生，肯定也会让这帮愣头青上演一出血战到底的真人秀吧？而且在被House老是修理一番后，他们会压根就不知道 “自尊”这个词是啥意思～
　　艾美奖得主《豪斯医生》第四季将在9月25日再度与美剧迷们见面，在本季中，由于有一票新人要竞争与House共事的机会，所以弄出了一个类似选秀的程序来考核竞聘者们，甚至给他们编了号～（传说中的超级医生？）。“本季中您将会看到典型的House风格的种种挖苦和刁难，除非具备《Survivor》中的角色那样超人的心理和身体素质以及职业技能，恐怕很难有人能入House的法眼。”本季的执行制作人David Shore如是说。
　　本季花了超过8集以上的时间来让有点神神叨叨的House来选秀（不知道有没有点评环节），也就是说，他将会塑造一个又臭又硬的形象～。演员Peter Jacobson 说(出演过The Starter Wife)，Peter Jacobson在本剧中扮演一个在Park Avenue上班的整形外科医生，试图寻找新的生命的意义。“不过，在寻找生命意义的道路上，他也顺道寻找一下辣妹。Hoho～” Jacobson补充道。
　　当然，作为选秀的结果，本剧中理所应当的出现了新角色。Olivia Wilde (出演过The Black Donnellys)，在本剧中出演一个让House搞不定的家伙。他说“每周都会有新人被淘汰出局，大家都希望看到Ryan Seacrest在那煽情的喊' 如果您支持13号选手，请编辑短信13，移动用户发送倒～～联通～～小灵通～～'（也不知道米国是什么号码啦！）"
　　制作人Shore还透露，其他的竞聘者还有Kal Penn（出演过24）扮演的一个觉得“选秀“特酷的傻妞。还有，Edi Gathegi(出演过Lincoln Heights)，将在本剧中扮演一个黑人摩门教徒。
　　搞笑的是，在现实中的演员们为了出演本剧，成为House团队（此处双关）的一员，也是竞争激烈。Shore 说：“我们挑选了许多演员来试镜，但是我们不能决定谁是最佳人选，最后我们决定采用选秀的方式，我们觉得House肯定会同意的。”

　　单纯从艺术角度来说，《白宫群英》在制作上比较活泼。虽然还是以拥护白宫为主旋律，但也不乏讽刺与调侃；虽然剧集强调纯属虚构，但暴露了众多白宫运作的真实内幕，因而也更受观众的欢迎。
　　在《白宫群英》里活跃的人物除了总统巴列及其家人外，还有他的一系列重要幕僚。从这个阵容便可看出，从全球战略的制定到总统一枚胸针的选择，在剧集里均可获得关注。当然其中也少不了各种谈情说爱的绯闻，其中不乏与现实“巧合"之处，例如在第一季中总统的女儿与白宫实习生大谈恋爱，而在剧集播出不久，便有消息称当时的总统克林顿的女儿与一名白宫实习生热恋。
　　剧集一方面为观众提供了一个窥视国家大事运作过程、窥视政坛要人的私生活的窗口，一方面又试图通过自己的表现影响高层，真正起到为总统出谋划策的作用，两头讨好，两方受益。
　　《白宫群英》给人的启示是，不仅以往那种让总统自己驾着飞机拯救全世界的手法已经落伍，从正面歌颂白宫也迷惑不了观众的眼睛。当传媒已颠覆了一切“神化"的可能的时候，与其用连小孩子都不相信的光环来包装总统，倒不如洗掉铅华，用有血有肉的真材猛料赢得公众的支持。
