　　西山悬崖上的龙门是云南最大、最精美的道教石窟。西山被称为睡美人，还因为有这样一个美丽的传说相传很久以前，在滇池岸边，有一对真挚相的青年男女，男捕鱼，女织网，生活的很幸福，小伙子为了表达对姑娘的爱意，驾小舟到海子中为她采取海菜花，结果一去不返。一天又一天，姑娘思念着小伙子，悲恸欲绝，昼夜长哭，眼泪流了五百里，最后伤心而逝，身躯化为湖滨山峦，长发则散于草海之内，从此，这山便称为睡美人山。
