惊魂绣花鞋

　　Following the success of their feature debut Jennifer’s Shadow (2004) – an exercise in American Gothic set in a scary land called Argentina – Pablo Parés and Daniel de la Vega worked for a US company on a post-mega-disaster wasteland zombie film in which South America had been turned into an all-purpose, all-materials junkyard, with the undead as the last humane entities around (forget about the humans here!).
　　The project never materialised, but Diego Parés, Pablo’s brother, started to write and draw a comic series based on the screenplay – which so far remains a ruin, as only parts were finished and published. The ECish beauty and balls of Diego P.’s labour of love have now been congenially transformed by the directorial duo into a delightfully old-(1970s)school low-budget production, closer to Romero and Dante than Fulci and Lenzi. And the IFFR audience is in for the treat of treats: they get to see the film and can also enjoy the unfinished comic in an exhibition.

　　Like Fritz Lang, David Fincher or Bong Joon Ho before him, talented debut filmmaker Lado Kvataniya uses the concept of police detective vs serial killer for an excitingly stylised, macabre and haunting narrative, that ultimately revolves around the identity of an era: in this case, the late 1980s Soviet Union. With Glasnost and the end of communist rule, the West also learned of the (unsurprising) fact that there were serial killers in Russia too – the most notorious case probably that of Andrei Chikatilo, nicknamed the Rostov Ripper, or the Russian Hannibal Lecter.
　　Based on these and many other sources, Kvataniya and screenwriter Olga Gorodetskaya constructed an immersive psychological puzzle, jumping back and forth in time, to reveal ever new-possible motives for the actions of all the protagonists. It all starts in 1990, when Detective Issa Davydov is celebrating his promotion and receives a call, reporting a crime that looks precisely like the ones of the serial killer that he famously captured some years before ...

　　加嘉（柳岩 饰）冒险跟未婚夫赴日见其家人。刚到富士山下赤石温泉，就被当地村民囚禁，过着禁室培欲的非人生活，懦弱的宏泰只知道借酒浇愁。加嘉的好姐妹卫凌（钟丽缇 饰）毅然赴日寻找加嘉。在探员木下（李灿森 饰）的帮助下，调查逐渐深入，但周围的环境也越来越险恶。宏泰被人勒死在温泉池中，美智子因极度恐惧陷入疯狂，节子遇袭虽神智清醒却无法表达，忠男经常通过门缝偷窥卫凌，核辐射阴影下的居民逐渐失去人性，像鬣狗一样时刻准备咬碎卫凌这个外人……
　　周围的人逐一死亡，恐怖事件逐渐升级。这一切背后还隐藏着更大的秘密……

　　二战末期，日本首都东京受到连日轰炸，大量死去的冤魂使东京的破坏之魔加藤复活。日本力界的指导人物高僧阿弥光凰想用灵力救出快要失败的日本，施展法力时加藤突然出现，计划落空。拥有灵力的青年男女中村和雪子，为了保护东京，和军队都不能抵挡的加藤展开了决斗

　　谋杀组警官鲍勃（Joe Mantegna 饰）与搭档沙利文接下了联邦调查局粗野办案的烂摊子，受命搜捕黑人嫌犯西姆斯。在两人驱车调查的路上偶遇一对新人警员被杂货店命案困住，鲍勃施以援助，却反被当地警长指派负责此案，鲍勃不得不违背命令开始在两件凶案中穿梭奔忙。
　　遇害的杂货店主是一名犹太老妇，她的儿子与孙女被不明身份的枪手骚扰，鲍勃在现场提取到新纳粹分子活动的痕迹……这座城市中的每个人似乎都对身份敏感，鲍勃的工作不断被黑人、犹太人的抱怨与传说阻扰，随着他对犹太老妇一案的调查不断深入，鲍勃渐渐进入了昔日犹太复国主义组织的世界，也唤醒了他对自己犹太身份的认同，但他得到的，是无法预料的混乱结局。

　　讲述冠宇（张庭瑚 饰）因与父亲武雄（李兴文 饰）不合，为了赚钱早日搬离家，与好友龟仔（李明仓 饰）一起到旅社打工，不料打扫的房间竟有人自缢身亡，房内充斥不祥的泰国符号，而旅社老板娘（吴奕蓉 饰）更是举止诡异，整间旅社弥漫着死亡的气息，向冠宇席卷而来。
