　　改编自史提芬京 (Stephen King) 畅销小说人物的 The Dead Zone 是一套集动作、浪漫、超自然及冒险于一身的心理学恐怖片集。
　　Johnny Smith (Anthony Michael Hall 饰演) 于小镇中过着平凡的生活，本身是自然科学教师的他喜欢向学生们展示出大自然的奥秘，在他身边的除了他深爱的未婚妻 Sarah (Nicole de Boer 饰演) 之外，还有以他引以为荣的母亲。Johnny 本拥有着几乎完美的生活，直至某天他发生车祸，使他一直昏迷不醒为止。
　　六年后，Johnny 终于恢复知觉及清醒，但他所认知的世界已变得面目全非。除了他的母亲已过身外，他的未婚妻 Sarah 亦下嫁了另一人且生了小孩。但这些事以他来说还不是太重要，因为他竟发现自已拥有一种惊人的 超自然力量，只要他接触到其它人或对象时便会发生。在离开医院之前，他p凭着超自然的幻觉得知其护士之女儿正身处险境，从而能够及时把她的女儿救出。

Mrs McCarthy under pressure from the diocese to provide a Christmas service fit for a Duke receives unexpected help from a vagrant she finds in the confessional.
