　　值得一提的是 几个配角，让兄弟两个对女人产生阴影的魔鬼老妈，刻薄的前妻，拽得要死的清洁女佣，还有和Charlie共渡一夜之后就跟踪了他两三年的邻居Rose

　　该剧设定在20世纪90年代，男孩Cameron（迈尔斯·赫尔泽 Miles Heizer 饰）在家庭破碎、社会偏见与校园欺凌的多重压力下，选择隐瞒自己的性取向，与直男好友Ray（利亚姆·吴 Liam Oh 饰）一同加入美国海军陆战队训练营，在严苛的军事环境中挣扎求存并寻求自我认同。
　　剧名中的军靴象征着军队文化与男性气质的规训，而隐藏则直接指向主角在军旅生涯中必须压抑真实自我的生存状态。
