　　30年代的北运河畔，柳巷村种瓜把式柳梢青青和她的女儿眉子是户侠义人家。眉子自幼丧母，与武艺高强、身怀绝技的父亲相依为命。她对同村的教书先生吴镰一片痴心，但却怕自己的"火"命克了吴镰的"水"命，不敢吐露真情。她常常捧着挂在脖子上的那把刻有"火命忌水"的铜锁，怨恨自己命不好！一次，她堵截了人贩子花子金的"放鹰"船，从船上救出一位如花似玉的姑娘花三春。眉子掩饰住内心难言的痛苦，亲自替吴镰与花三春操办婚事，促成吴镰与花三春的姻缘。花三春是花小金的女儿，她从小受不良环境的熏染，泼辣妖媚，好逸恶劳。但她聪明灵俐，渴望自由，渴望真正的爱情。为此她执意拒绝做大恶霸龙头少爷的九姨太。和吴镰的结合，使她得到了从前所享受不到的家庭温暖与幸福。三春有了身孕，眉子格外地照顾她，经常到吴家帮着做事。没想到，这却引起了三春的误解，她怀疑眉子和吴镰是"明来暗去藤缠树"，大耍泼劲，恶语伤人。为这，柳家和吴家断绝了来往。此时正值抗战前夕，运河两岸风云滚滚。吴镰立志投笔从戎，积极参加抗日救亡活动。他用练武方式团结群众，三番五次恳求柳家父女把武艺传授给乡亲们。柳家父女以大局为重，放弃前嫌，两家终于和解。吴镰从事地下活动，整日早出晚归。三春怀疑丈夫有了外心，便暗中盯梢。一次，吴镰把一位伤员刚刚藏到柳家瓜棚里，敌人便追踪而至。眉子掩护伤员迅速转移后正欲离开瓜棚，花三春跑来闹事，硬要眉子还她吴镰。情况紧急，眉子急中生智，将三春打昏后藏到草垛里。敌人冲进瓜棚，为掩护三春不被敌人发现，眉子临危不惧，只身与敌人拼死搏斗。三春在草垛里看着眼前发生的一切，终于明白了真情，又悔又恨，发誓一定要报答眉子。花子金为报失女之仇，杀气腾腾闯进柳巷村。眉子寡不敌众，被花子金抓住。危急关头，花三春救出眉子，并将计就计，杀死企图侮辱她的人贩子贾二哈。花子金见女儿背叛了自己，恼羞成怒。花三春大义灭亲，举枪打死了作恶多端的父亲，自己也不幸惨死在花子金的冷枪下。北运河滚滚东流。眉子站在河边，望着翻腾的河水，她拽下脖子上的铜锁，把它扔进河中。她将开始自己新生活。

　　影片讲述了发生在同一时间，不同地点的两段爱情故事。不能生育孩子Gwen和Rhys来到阿根廷的帕塔哥尼亚度假，试图暂时把烦恼抛开，修复两人的感情。同时一名阿根廷祖母前往威尔士寻亲，陪伴她的侄子Alejandro尽管并不情愿但很快地爱上了当地的威尔士女郎Sissy。在不同的美丽的景色当中，两段恋情展开了。

　　A poor young man finds a magic lamp that possesses a genie, who will grant the boy three wishes if he sets him free from the lamp.

　　Salomé (1923), a silent film directed by Charles Bryant and starring Alla Nazimova, is a film adaptation of the Oscar Wilde play of the same name. The play itself is a loose retelling of the biblical story of King Herod and his execution of John the Baptist (here, as in Wilde's play, called Jokaanan) at the request of his stepdaughter, Salomé, whom he lusts after.
　　Salomé is often called one of the first art films to be made in the U.S.[citation needed] The highly stylized costumes, exaggerated acting (even for the period), minimal sets, and absence of all but the most necessary props make for a screen image much more focused on atmosphere and on conveying a sense of the characters' individual heightened desires than on conventional plot development.
　　Despite the film being only a little over an hour in length and having no real action to speak of, it cost over $350,000 to make. All the sets were constructed indoors to be able to have complete control over the lighting. The film was shot completely in black and white, matching the illustrations done by Aubrey Beardsley in the printed edition of Wilde's play. The costumes, designed by Natacha Rambova, used material only from Maison Lewis of Paris, such as the real silver lamé loincloths worn by the guards.
　　No major studio would be associated with the film, and it was years after its completion before it was released, by a minor independent distributor. It was a complete failure at the time and marked the end of Nazimova's producing career.
　　A longstanding rumor, which seems to have started while the film was still in production, suggests that its cast is comprised entirely of gay and bisexual actors in an homage to Oscar Wilde, as per star and producer Nazimova's demand. It is, of course, impossible to say, but one of the extras in Salomé reported that a number of the cast members—both featured and extras—were indeed gay, but not an unusual percentage of them, and certainly not all of them. What can be said is that Nazimova herself was a lesbian, the two guard characters (who, next to Salomé, have the most screen time) are at least played very stereotypically gay, and several of the female courtiers are men in drag.
　　Salomé was screened in 1989 at the New York International Festival of Lesbian and Gay films and in 1990 at the New York Gay Experimental Film Festival.
　　In 2000, the United States Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.

　　松崎宏司（益岡徹 饰）是一个热爱演戏的男人，他的父亲是名剧作家松崎健太（津川雅彦 饰），但是宏司丝毫不像借助父亲的力量，加上他长相平平，于是长久以来始终担任万年小配角。好不容易捱到了要担当主演的人生关隘，谁知却出了乱子。宏司偶然帮某议院的妻子（松坂慶子 饰）捡拾花束，结果被不良周刊拍下宣传成为桃色新闻。蒙冤的宏司丢掉了主演的机会，颇为郁闷。在此期间，他结识了目标前往美国纽约学习表演的女孩亚矢（永作博美 饰）。热情的亚矢自顾自闯入宏司的生活，让这个焦头烂额的男人甚为烦躁，同时又不知不觉为其所吸引。

　　In the time of Counter-Reformation, a miller and his son come under investigation by a priest of the Inquisition, when rumors spread that their prosperity comes from working with the Devil.
　　The Devil's Trap is a film directed by František Vlá?il, based on a novel by Alfréd Technik, adapted by František A. Dvorák and Miloš Kratochvíl. It was the first of three historical dramas that Vlá?il made during the Czech New Wave (technically he isn't really a part of the New Wave, however these films were made during the same era of artistic freedom), preceding his more well known Marketa Lazarová (1967) and Valley of the Bees (1968).
　　Set in the late 16th Century during the Catholic Reformation, in the Moravian Karst, situated in what is now the Eastern Czech Republic, it tells the tale of a miller (Vítezslav Vejrazka), and his son Jan (Vít Olmer), who come under suspicion and are investigated by a Jesuit priest of the Inquisition (Miroslav Macháchek), when rumors of witchcraft are spread by the local regent (Cestmír Randa), who is jealous of the miller's prosperity and degree of respect among the local populace.
　　As expected from Vlá?il, this film is a stunning experience all the way through. From the opening shot, an ominous manipulation of perspective with a close up of a mangled figure of Christ dominating the foreground against a tiny figure in black walking along the horizon, to the breathtaking confrontational finale inside the vast stalactite filled Karst caverns, it is a wonderful display of visual mastery.
　　Maybe not quite as impressive as Marketa Lazarová, but still full of astonishing imagery. As seen from unique angles and distinct points of view which highlight the director's remarkable sense of awareness of framing, motion, and positioning on the emotional and dramatic tone of the scene. The most memorable being a repeated shot where the camera is suspended and launched with speed through the air towards the miller's door.
　　The story here is a simple one and I would say more accessible than his later works. With a conventional structure emphasized as much by its plot and characters, than by its expressionistic cinematography or authentic historical detail. The events play out without much surprise, and there is a strong underlying, almost supernatural, mysterious aspect that is left unresolved, in fact barely explored, which is slightly disappointing, but only because it's so fascinating that I wish there was more.
　　Acting is great all around. Particularly the villains: Miroslav Macháchek as the priest, casting a sinister and imposing shadow wherever he goes, and Cestmír Randa as the weasel like regent behind all the persecution. While Vít Olmer brings a charismatic leading man presence in his role as the miller's son Jan, in love with the lovely orphan girl Martina (Karla Chadimová), who becomes a dangerous object of rivalry between Jan and other young men of the village.
　　The film also features the evocative music of Zden?k Liška (perhaps the most prolific composer of the Czech New Wave). In this his second of eleven collaborations with Vlá?il, his compositions are used sparingly, but to great effect, complimenting but never overpowering a scene. The best example of which can be heard in an amazingly shot celebration and dance sequence at the end of the second act.
　　The Devil's Trap might not be a masterpiece, but it is still a strong effort, with a fascinating straightforward story and a glorious historical setting captured beautifully by Vlá?il's unmistakable visual prowess. A fine work that would also be the perfect starter plate to prepare yourself for the challenging feast of Marketa Lazarová or The Valley of the Bees. It even has an easy to digest running time. It's therefore puzzling why this gem remains largely overlooked and ignored.

　　David（古天乐 饰）、碧咸（苏志威 饰）、碧咸的妹妹阿Ann（杨恭如 饰）、泉（李灿森 饰）从小一起长大，四人宛如兄弟姐妹，David与阿Ann更是青梅竹马。一日，阿Ann在夜总会做陪酒女郎时被黑道社团洪乐社的老大胜（方中信 饰）看上，随后，Ann在酒吧为David庆祝生日时遇到了胜。David与胜争风吃醋发生了争执，打斗中胜错手误伤了泉，使其成了植物人，悲愤不已的David发誓要帮泉报仇。碧咸好赌欠下高利贷无法偿还，被色魔雄要挟用Ann来还债。胜得知后派手下与David、碧咸一起去找色魔雄谈判，岂料谈判破裂双方大打出手，心狠手辣的David奋勇杀出一条血路，斩杀了色魔雄。一时间David闻名江湖，随后加入了洪乐社。David表现出色，很快获得了胜的赏识，他认为为泉报仇的时机已经到了……

　　金融危机令中年男子佑作（三浦友和 饰）丢掉了工作，妻子为此选择了离开，霎时间失去了生命中一切重要之物的他想到了自杀。就在他终于鼓起勇气打算将自杀的想法付诸行动之时，一通来自老家的意外来电打断了他的计划。
　　打电话的是佑作学生时代的好友，两人已经很多年没有联络了。好友告诉佑作，学生时代一直喜欢着佑作的女孩雪子（须藤温子 饰）如今身患不治之症，时日无多了，好友希望佑作能够在雪子临死之前去探望她，了却她的心愿。就这样，佑作乘上了返回老家的火车，仔细算一算，他离开家乡已经28年之久了，此时的佑作并不知道，这趟返乡之旅将会改变他的命运。

　　小春和彩乃是两个住在一起的朋友，两人在生活和工作中有着很深的默契。平淡美好的生活突然发生了变化，彩乃告知小春自己怀孕了，不知道父亲是谁，但彩乃决定生下这个孩子。故事以小春的视角通过讲述经过怀孕、单亲妈妈的人生决断，面对友情、工作、家人，描绘对过去的固执和现实，以及其未来，记录下这10个月发生的辛苦与美好的故事。
