ABC正式宣布续订《童话镇》第五季。
Extras是由BBC 2001年播出的大热喜剧The Office制片Ricky Gervais和编剧Stephen Merchant再度携手推出的一部力作，播出第一集后即好评如潮。 Gervais在剧中扮演Andy Millman，一名为圆从影梦而从银行辞职，却始终只能演些小配角的家伙。 实际上，他甚至很少能得到一个有台词的角色，为此他整天呆在演员休息室，同其他临时演员一起，包括他的好友Maggie Jacobs，羡慕着那些主角们。Stephen Merchant在剧中扮演Andy的经纪人。 每集的Extras都将会安排一段特别的剧情，由不同的客座明星来客串，第二季中有奥兰多布鲁姆（魔戒精灵弓箭手），罗伯特德尼罗，丹尼尔雷德克利夫（哈里波特），伊恩麦柯莱恩（魔戒），克里斯马汀（酷玩合唱团主唱）
《迷失》第五季开播前就有编剧透露，将会有一名重要角色死去，而之前剧集中埋下了多重伏笔，也将会逐渐收拢，谜底慢慢揭开。这一季主要讲述“六位离岛者为什么要回去”。虽然《迷失》已经有六季完结的大框架，但是第五季的挑战也不小，在第四季那么多冲突制造完之后，剧情的节奏和爆点恐怕会有所放缓。《迷失》中依然有很多很多的谜底有待揭开，这也是剧迷一直牵挂的。和以往闪回闪前的叙事方式不同，第五季主要是岛外和岛上生活的叙事方式为主。

Sue's demanding boss, unseen character Veronica, is replaced by another unseen character, Sue's new boss Tyson, who Pete is suspicious of. It is revealed in the final episode of Series 2 that Tyson was a conman.
