柳生一族的阴谋

　　On February 14, neighbors get stuck in the elevator. They are completely different people and don't know each other, but isn't this a reason to get to know each other?

　　影片根据真实故事改编，讲述白人医生阿尔佛雷德·布雷拉克（阿伦·瑞克曼 Alan Rickman饰）与黑人合作伙伴维文·托马斯（茅斯·达夫 Mos Def饰）打破种族界限，协力合作开创心脏手术先河，成为心脏外科手术先驱者的故事。医生布雷拉克在事业上雄心勃勃并且眼光独特，他发现了托马斯在医学方面的天赋，开始传授他医学相关的知识。起先托马斯用狗作为实验对象，天分过人的他很快就掌握了医学理论与手术实践上的技艺。他们一起攻克了法洛四联症（又称紫绀婴儿），可他并没有公开托马斯为此做出的贡献。在托马斯因为肤色而遭受不公正待遇的时候，他选择了沉默。
　　两人亦主亦仆、亦师亦友，在长达三十四年的合作中，维系着这份微妙的友情。当最后托马斯终于受到肯定获奖的时候，他默默的注视着医生布雷拉克的画像，泪流满面。

　　梅根（芭芭拉·斯坦威克 Barbara Stanwyck 饰）和未婚夫琼斯（沃尔特·康诺利 Walter Connolly 饰）即将携手步入婚姻的殿堂。琼斯是一名虔诚的基督教徒，为了传教，梅根跟随琼斯来到了中国。一场意外中，两人在误打误撞之下闯入了军事禁区，就此解释了颜将军（尼尔斯·阿斯瑟 Nils Asther 饰），三人之间结下了深厚的友谊。
　　随着时间的推移，颜将军渐渐爱上了天真烂漫的梅根，两人之间的距离越来越近。颜将军在事业上受到了重创，导致了众叛亲离的下场，在这危机时刻，梅根选择不离不弃的陪伴在颜将军的身旁。可是，颜将军误以为梅根这么做是为了自己的未婚夫，这误会导致两人的感情产生了裂痕。

　　共和国高级专员De Roller在法属波利尼西亚的大溪地岛工作，他是一个举止完美、极有心计的人，能通过官方招待会之类的场合，精准地把握怒气可能随时爆发的当地民众的脉搏。此时，人群中流传着一个谣言：有人曾经看到一座潜水艇幽灵般的身影，这很可能预示着法国即将重启核试验。

　　六十年代的香港警界贪污成风，导致黑狱重重，《正报》记者程安（梁朝伟 饰）撰文揭露警界黑幕，被探长张耀祖（吴毅将 饰）视为眼中钉。张耀祖陷害程安藏毒，使其入狱，更将程的女友小慈（张文慈 饰）玷污。程安在狱中作为帮派人士之外的“羊”，虽有羊头飞机木（吴孟达 饰）看顾，也受尽大佬们侮辱。程安凭借正气与知识为犯人声张权利，逐渐获得大佬们尊重，狱中生活有所好转。不久看守“无人性”（林国斌 饰）将犯人“三只脚”（徐锦江 饰）害死，程安借报界朋友使三只脚冤仇得雪。小慈依靠另一探长势力将张耀祖下狱，沦为犯人的张耀祖计划在狱中报复程安，两人的对决在所难免……

　　病重的母亲死于火灾，令乖乖女安娜（埃米莉·勃朗宁 Emily Browning 饰）备受打击，甚至企图自杀。经过一段时间的精神康复，安娜获准回到阔别已久的家中，那里有她身为作家的父亲史蒂芬（大卫·斯特雷泽恩 David Strathairn 饰），亲密无间的妹妹爱丽克丝（阿莉尔·凯贝尔 Arielle Kebbel 饰）以及令她不知该如何对待的未来继母——妈妈曾经的护士蕾切尔（伊丽莎白·班克斯 Elizabeth Banks 饰）。在此期间，安娜接连看到母亲凄惨恐怖的身影，好友马特（Jesse Moss 饰）则声称见到了火灾当晚的一切。种种迹象表明，安娜的母亲并非死于意外，姐妹俩自然而然将凶手锁定在蕾切尔的身上。

　　Novelist Joseph Shearing specialized in using real cases which took place in Victorian England, altering them for fictional purposes. MOSS ROSE in 1947 was the first film to be made from his novels, then in 1948 two of his works were adapted for the screen, this film and THE MARK OF CAIN. The movie stars Todd as a recently widowed missionary returning to her home in England from Jamaica. During the voyage, she meets Milland, a charming though dangerous rascal who is wanted by police in connection with some unsavory dealings. Milland contracts malaria while onboard the ship and Todd nurses him back to health. In London, Todd settles into her home, taking in boarders to make ends meet. Milland arrives, moves in, and proclaims his love for her. Todd is thrilled, but it seems rather obvious that Milland is only toying with her. Milland finds some letters written to her by her friend, Fitzgerald, in which Fitzgerald reveals some of her sexual indiscretions. Since Fitzgerald is now married to the wealthy Huntley, Milland believes he can use the letters to blackmail Fitzgerald. Todd's love for Milland is so great that she goes along with the plan. Huntley, however, learns of the scheme and also uncovers details of Milland's shady past. Fearing for her lover's safety, Todd poisons Huntley, then remains silent when Fitzgerald is arrested for the murder. Milland has by now genuinely fallen in love with Todd and the two make plans to leave England. Before they can depart, one of Milland's former lovers shows up and Todd, in a jealous rage, kills Milland, then turns herself into the police.
　　This is an intriguing film, although a little on the talky side. The performances are excellent throughout, with Milland shining as the cad, the type of role in which he excelled. Though he spent most of his time making films in the US, he occasionally returned to his native England for a production and this was his first British film since FRENCH WITHOUT TEARS in 1939. Director Allen was also an Englishman who chose to work in the US, this being his first directorial effort in his homeland. This was the fourth and last time Milland and Allen would work together, their pairing having begun in 1944 with the wonderfully eerie THE UNINVITED.

　　有一天父亲（香川照之饰）突然来找阿笙（瑛太饰），告诉他有个素未谋面的姑姑死了，叫他去收拾下姑姑的房子。在河边的破烂小屋里，阿笙渐渐开始了解父亲口中的姑姑，到底有着怎样的一生。
　　小时候的姑姑川尻松子（中谷美纪饰）经常做着白雪公主似的美梦，她后来成为一名安分的中学教师，却因百口莫辩的误会被辞退了，之后和一作家同居，作家却因为太爱她而选择自杀，死前留下遗言：生而为人对不起。这件事对松子打击极大；之后与该作家的事业敌人同居直至，又忍受不住去找对方妻子的诱惑，结果惨遭抛弃；又是当上浴室女郎，甚至还杀人入狱，然而不管有意无意，她从不放弃生活的希望。不管生活再怎样破碎，她仍然本能地生存下去，这生存本身，足以打动任何人，包括阿笙。

本片的主人公是漂泊在外的电影导演近藤，他身无分文地回到了自己度过青春时代的银平町。他意外地遇到了喜欢电影的流浪汉佐藤，以及商店街一角的电影院银平座的经理，开始打工。然后与个性丰富的老主顾们相遇，描写了面对过去的自己。

　　In the time of Counter-Reformation, a miller and his son come under investigation by a priest of the Inquisition, when rumors spread that their prosperity comes from working with the Devil.
　　The Devil's Trap is a film directed by František Vlá?il, based on a novel by Alfréd Technik, adapted by František A. Dvorák and Miloš Kratochvíl. It was the first of three historical dramas that Vlá?il made during the Czech New Wave (technically he isn't really a part of the New Wave, however these films were made during the same era of artistic freedom), preceding his more well known Marketa Lazarová (1967) and Valley of the Bees (1968).
　　Set in the late 16th Century during the Catholic Reformation, in the Moravian Karst, situated in what is now the Eastern Czech Republic, it tells the tale of a miller (Vítezslav Vejrazka), and his son Jan (Vít Olmer), who come under suspicion and are investigated by a Jesuit priest of the Inquisition (Miroslav Macháchek), when rumors of witchcraft are spread by the local regent (Cestmír Randa), who is jealous of the miller's prosperity and degree of respect among the local populace.
　　As expected from Vlá?il, this film is a stunning experience all the way through. From the opening shot, an ominous manipulation of perspective with a close up of a mangled figure of Christ dominating the foreground against a tiny figure in black walking along the horizon, to the breathtaking confrontational finale inside the vast stalactite filled Karst caverns, it is a wonderful display of visual mastery.
　　Maybe not quite as impressive as Marketa Lazarová, but still full of astonishing imagery. As seen from unique angles and distinct points of view which highlight the director's remarkable sense of awareness of framing, motion, and positioning on the emotional and dramatic tone of the scene. The most memorable being a repeated shot where the camera is suspended and launched with speed through the air towards the miller's door.
　　The story here is a simple one and I would say more accessible than his later works. With a conventional structure emphasized as much by its plot and characters, than by its expressionistic cinematography or authentic historical detail. The events play out without much surprise, and there is a strong underlying, almost supernatural, mysterious aspect that is left unresolved, in fact barely explored, which is slightly disappointing, but only because it's so fascinating that I wish there was more.
　　Acting is great all around. Particularly the villains: Miroslav Macháchek as the priest, casting a sinister and imposing shadow wherever he goes, and Cestmír Randa as the weasel like regent behind all the persecution. While Vít Olmer brings a charismatic leading man presence in his role as the miller's son Jan, in love with the lovely orphan girl Martina (Karla Chadimová), who becomes a dangerous object of rivalry between Jan and other young men of the village.
　　The film also features the evocative music of Zden?k Liška (perhaps the most prolific composer of the Czech New Wave). In this his second of eleven collaborations with Vlá?il, his compositions are used sparingly, but to great effect, complimenting but never overpowering a scene. The best example of which can be heard in an amazingly shot celebration and dance sequence at the end of the second act.
　　The Devil's Trap might not be a masterpiece, but it is still a strong effort, with a fascinating straightforward story and a glorious historical setting captured beautifully by Vlá?il's unmistakable visual prowess. A fine work that would also be the perfect starter plate to prepare yourself for the challenging feast of Marketa Lazarová or The Valley of the Bees. It even has an easy to digest running time. It's therefore puzzling why this gem remains largely overlooked and ignored.

　　这是一个拥有神奇魔法的房间，只要你身在房间之中，无论许什么物质方面的愿望 ，都能够实现。利用这个房间，夫妻两人瞬间拥有了很多他们想买但舍不得买的东西，然而，起初了兴奋感平静之后，凯特内心的贪欲开始蠢蠢欲动，她真正想要的“东西”只有一个。
