　　Teenaged siblings Girly and Sonny lure young men back to their home to meet the eccentric Mumsy and Nanny. There, the men are forced to take part in strange games, the rules of which are never defined - and if they refuse, or transgress the unwritten rules, they're killed. But they may have met their match in New Friend, their latest victim, who starts to manipulate the foursome, setting one against the other.
　　Bizarre combination of late sixties avant garde and sleaze. Director Freddie Francis had made horrors for both Hammer and Amicus but this is nothing like any of them. Shot on location with an atmosphere mixing playground horror and conservatory theatre that is downright weird and unsettling. The great lost girl of sixties British horror, Vanessa Howard, shines as she does in those other rarely seen gems Corruption [1967] and What Became of Jack and Jill [1972]. If Harold Pinter had made The Texas Chain Saw Massacre [1974] for the BBC this could have resulted. Excellent and unique.

　　While driving through the desert with his wife Carol Marvin to a military base to send the eleventh rocket to the orbit of Earth for helping the exploration of the outer space in the Operation Sky Hook, Dr. Russell A. Marvin and Carol see a flying saucer and accidentally records a message in their tape recorder. Once in the base, Dr. Russell is informed by his father-in-law and general that the ten first satellites had mysteriously felt on Earth. When Dr. Russell decodes the message, he encounters the aliens that ask him to schedule a meeting with the leaders of Earth in Washington in 56 days with the intention to invade Earth without panicking the population. Dr. Russell develops an anti-magnetic weapon that becomes that last hope of human race against the hostile aliens.

　　"King of the Ants" is about a regular guy, Sean Crawley(newcomer Chris McKenna), a man without any aspiration who just live in his apartment doing the necessary job to live to the next day. In one of his jobs he meets Duke(Gearge Wendt), who introduces Sean to his boss, Ray Matthews(played by Daniel Baldwin). Ray hires Sean as a spy, and orders him to follow Eric Gatlin(Roy Livingstone), an accountant who has been investigating Ray's company. Problems start when Ray, while drunk, orders Sean to kill Eric. And he does it. Things go wrong when Ray decides to make Sean disappear destroying his mind with violent punishment and humiliation.
　　
　　From the point where Sean kills Eric, we go in the same boat with him, as he goes through a downward spiral of human degradation, traveling from guilt, to confusion and finally to his rebirth, in a state where humanity, morals and values are not important anymore. Chris McKenna acting is very important because he manages to be likable even when he is part of gruesome acts, both as victim and/or criminal. He has that look of innocence that hides a dark side and he manages to carry the film.
　　
　　The support cast also includes Kari Wuhrer, as Eric's widow who also becomes a central part of Sean's trip to hell. She gives a fine performance, although it's obvious that Sean is the main character. He is the most developed of all and McKenna's performance is up to the challenge.
　　
　　The film has very disturbing images of violence, and while it may not be as graphic as "Kill Bill" for example, the strength of the violence is in the lack of humanity that the character manifest. He is more than an ant in this world. He is the king.
　　
　　Stuart Gordon has managed to create a film that, while maybe it's not one of his best efforts; it's very well done, has a VERY interesting story to tell, and manages to capture the attention every second of it.

　　1934年，红军主力撤离苏区北上后，边区县委遭到破坏，县委委员程昆叛变投敌。一天夜里，县委联络员华姑在程昆带领的匪兵追赶下无路可走，舍身跳崖，幸被急于寻找地方党组织的红军营长关复兴率领的小分队所救。在革命群众兰嫂、吴大爹的护理下，华姑的伤很快就痊愈了。为早日找到地下党组织，华姑与老关带着小分队四处奔走，几个接头地点都被破坏，他们到最后的接头地点山神庙联系时，中了敌人埋伏。在战斗中，老关的腿部负伤，华姑不顾深秋的寒冷，撕下内衣为他包扎。他们在艰苦的战争中，建立了深厚的感情，但都把爱情埋在心底。为摆脱困境，华姑下山去搞粮食，并联系了树奎领导的游击队的人，了解到山下的敌情。他们乘镇长家办喜事之机，混进镇去，里应外合，取得了胜利。原边区特委书记沈继先叛变后，特委组织部长老秦虎口脱险。在小分队胜利而归的晚上，老秦找到了这支红军队伍。老秦领导山上的同志组成新特委，华姑担任了新特委联络员。她迅速恢复了各地的党组织，发动群众，壮大革命力量。由于紧张的战斗，华姑与老关很少见面，新特委领导老秦始终关心他们的生活，并决定为他们举行婚礼。新婚之日，交通员送来上级党派人送来的情报。为尽快接来上级党的代表，华姑没顾上喝喜酒就匆匆下了山。不料，这个情报是敌人设下的圈套，华姑和树奎游击队的6人全都被捕。在敌人软硬兼施的审问面前，华姑坚贞不屈。为搜索新特委，敌人一方面放走华姑，另一方面在杀害游击队同志时搞了假枪毙，让游击队内的叛徒景余混上山。景余陷害华姑，当众诬蔑她是叛徒，使华姑有口难辩。在敌情十分严重的情况下，新特委不得不对华姑进行审查。兰嫂经常关心华姑，使她得到很大的宽慰。新特委派老关带小分队下山进一步弄清景余的情况，并设法铲除叛徒程昆。没料到，在老关带队下山的第二天早上，程昆竟率敌乘虚而入。原来，景余回山后，很快将新特委转移到老岭山的情报送给了敌人。在危急时刻，华姑挺身而出引走了敌人，使山上的同志脱离了险境，叛徒程昆在绝望中打死了华姑。此时，老秦率领山上的同志与山下赶来的小分队包围了敌人。经过激战，全歼了敌人。叛徒程昆、景余受到了应有的惩罚。1937年，国共两党建立了抗日统一战线，关营长率领这支队伍又奔赴新的战场。

　　普赖斯上校每年都会在他的英国乡间别墅为他在战争期间协调的反纳粹抵抗团体的成员（主要是德国人）举行一次团圆聚会。 他在1943年接管了该组织，当时创建该组织的领导人被纳粹谋杀。 现在他得知自己的前任被该团体中的某人出卖了，他打算在今年的团圆活动专门查明到底谁是叛徒。

　　故事一：歌星Sunny（黄耀明 饰）在医院昏迷半年了，但他的身体状况良好，昏迷原因不明。护士（叶玉卿 饰）负责在凌晨值班照顾他。每天凌晨1点，护士都能看到Sunny与一名女孩在一起，原来Sunny被这个死去的歌迷缠住了……
　　故事二：芳（袁咏仪 饰）与几名同学到学校附近探险，据说那里常有个大辫子女鬼出现。芳的同学本来是想扮鬼吓她，竟没想到她们真的遇上了这名大辫子女鬼……
　　故事三：众多市民都在一本报刊中，看到了一位多天前被撞死的老婆婆的身影。这是一张快照，负责这些照片的是交通警员阿辉（陈小春 饰）与阿明（徐锦江 饰），令人心寒的是接下来的几个月，他们都被老婆婆的鬼魂缠绕……
