　　《放荡的女皇》年轻的德国公主索非亚与俄国与皇的儿子公爵彼得结婚。跋扈的女皇希望改进皇家血液。索非亚不喜欢她的丈夫，但她喜欢俄国，并且喜欢俄国的战士。她尽职地生产一个儿子——可疑的父权，但没人似乎介意这个。在老女皇死之后，索非亚设计一次政变，在军事的帮助下，废除彼得，并且成为卡特琳娜女王。

　　影片讲述了小主人公“宝贝”在爸妈分居后，因妈妈工作原因，转学到姥姥家附近学校后发生的故事：“宝贝”妈妈忙于工作，忽视了对他的陪伴，使“宝贝”在陌生的环境里感觉更加孤单，但好在他遇到了一些新的朋友。他们一起在周边闯荡“冒险”，机缘巧合偶遇了自己的音乐启蒙导师……在经历了众多动人心弦的故事后，他们组建了自己的乐队，并参加了迷笛音乐节......

　　A bit of color for once, all the better to see the red flags with, not to mention the obvious aerial file footage of Warsaw. The story concerns Jozef Malesa, the mason or bricklayer of the title. He was once the darling of the party, the son of two old party activists, a worker of heroic reputation, his own commitment to The Movement unquestioned. He was chosen to be destined for great things, specially educated and pushed forward to positions of responsibility in the Party. Eventually he decides, because of the ethical pressures which he feels from the obstructionism of the bureaucracy from above, he asks to return to be a simple bricklayer. He is disturbed with the way the Party deals with people, especially their lack of direct contact. He thinks workers know better than the leadership many times but that's not the way power flows. He is uncomfortable with the compromises to his idealism. He remains committed to social justice and joins his friends for the May Day rally where his comfort and confidence in his place in society cause him to defer to no man, certainly no rat faced men in overcoats with red armbands. His great pleasure in life moreover is laying brick. He finds the work satisfying and fulfilling which is why he was such an obviously superior worker in the first place.

　　1979年11月4日，伊朗的革命军攻进了美国在伊朗德黑兰的大使馆，将大使馆的工作人员劫为人质。有超过50名人员被关押，但有6人逃脱，并躲在加拿大驻伊朗大使Ken Taylor（维克多·加博 Victor Garber 饰）的家里。CIA高层Jack O'Donnell（ 布莱恩·科兰斯顿 Bryan Cranston 饰）找到专家Tony Mendez（本·阿弗莱克 Ben Affleck 饰），让他协助将那六个人带回美国。经过讨论后，CIA决定采取Tony的办法，以拍摄电影的名义，Tony到伊朗将那六个人带回。Tony联系了他在好莱坞的朋友，化妆师John Chambers（约翰·古德曼 John Goodman 饰），并联系了电影制片人Lester（艾伦·阿金 Alan Arkin 饰）。Tony在许多剧本中选中了《ARGO》，一部和《星球大战》极为类似的电影。于是他作为制片人带着剧本和各种道具前往伊朗，找到了那六个人，开始了艰苦的逃离德黑兰之路......
　　本片根据真实故事改编，获得第85届奥斯卡最佳影片、最佳剪辑、最佳改编剧本等3项大奖。

　　男子学校的课堂上，男孩们等待着老师的到来。当一脸严肃的男老师走进来的时候，气氛一下子变得沉闷不堪。教室广播突然响起：同学们，今天学校将会有一些改革和变化。你们的老师将会对于你们的未来给出建议和规划，而你们需要做的就是仔细地听取老师们的建议，并严格遵从他们的指示。你们将是学校和同学们的骄傲。
　　广播播报完毕后，男老师在黑板上写下“2+2=5”。大家都非常吃惊，这根本就不符合常理。但是老师宣称这是让男孩们学会的第一个“真理”。一片安静过后，男孩们都跟随老师一起读着。终于，一个男孩举手质疑这个答案。可是在老师的强迫下，他默默地坐下了。此时第二个男孩也站起来跟老师争辩。可是老师的答案却是：你不需要任何思考。男老师甚至找来大学生来恐吓这个男孩，他的同班同学更是不想惹祸上身。老师再次疾言厉色地问道：答案到底是几？男孩毅然在黑板上写下了：4。随之，悲剧的一幕发生了……

　　根据一对父子的真实故事改编，他们在阿巴拉契亚小径的徒步旅行中修复了破裂的关系，寻找他们心爱的迷路狗。

　　从马来西亚移居新加坡的阿玲在一间高中担任中文老师。她的家庭生活让她倍感沮丧：公公因为瘫痪无法说话，丈夫对她也日趋冷淡。夫妻二人多年来一直尝试怀孕，但情况一直没有得到好转，丈夫的不闻不问更让她感到孤独。伟伦是阿玲的一位学生，他通过中文课对老师产生了某种不可名状的情愫，两人的关系随着阿玲给伟伦的课外辅导产生了变化……

　　大导演严俊又一警世之作，根据蒲松龄《聊斋志异》同名故事改编，描述明末期间，才女连琐（李菁）因救父而误杀奸徒，复投井自尽。十多年后，才子杨于畏（李丽华）因逃避奸臣追捕，投奔父执世交唐尚书（井淼）；怎料唐尚书趋炎附势，拒不收留，幸得老仆李贵（顾文宗）忠义，引于畏于一荒废书馆躲藏。于畏夜间无意与连琐相会，夕夕相对，发生一段人鬼之恋。唐尚书义女连闱（李菁分饰）与连琐原属同胞姊妹，跟于畏早有婚约。连闱妒恨亡姊迷惑于畏，指挥仆役火焚书馆，不料失足而死；连琐得借妹屍还魂，与于畏终成眷属。此片由天皇巨星李丽华反串男主角，而「亚洲影后」李菁分饰连琐及连闱两姊妹，一正一邪，一人一鬼，表现出众。

　　Novelist Joseph Shearing specialized in using real cases which took place in Victorian England, altering them for fictional purposes. MOSS ROSE in 1947 was the first film to be made from his novels, then in 1948 two of his works were adapted for the screen, this film and THE MARK OF CAIN. The movie stars Todd as a recently widowed missionary returning to her home in England from Jamaica. During the voyage, she meets Milland, a charming though dangerous rascal who is wanted by police in connection with some unsavory dealings. Milland contracts malaria while onboard the ship and Todd nurses him back to health. In London, Todd settles into her home, taking in boarders to make ends meet. Milland arrives, moves in, and proclaims his love for her. Todd is thrilled, but it seems rather obvious that Milland is only toying with her. Milland finds some letters written to her by her friend, Fitzgerald, in which Fitzgerald reveals some of her sexual indiscretions. Since Fitzgerald is now married to the wealthy Huntley, Milland believes he can use the letters to blackmail Fitzgerald. Todd's love for Milland is so great that she goes along with the plan. Huntley, however, learns of the scheme and also uncovers details of Milland's shady past. Fearing for her lover's safety, Todd poisons Huntley, then remains silent when Fitzgerald is arrested for the murder. Milland has by now genuinely fallen in love with Todd and the two make plans to leave England. Before they can depart, one of Milland's former lovers shows up and Todd, in a jealous rage, kills Milland, then turns herself into the police.
　　This is an intriguing film, although a little on the talky side. The performances are excellent throughout, with Milland shining as the cad, the type of role in which he excelled. Though he spent most of his time making films in the US, he occasionally returned to his native England for a production and this was his first British film since FRENCH WITHOUT TEARS in 1939. Director Allen was also an Englishman who chose to work in the US, this being his first directorial effort in his homeland. This was the fourth and last time Milland and Allen would work together, their pairing having begun in 1944 with the wonderfully eerie THE UNINVITED.

　　故事发生在1900年，美国人马修是一个神枪手，为了一则招募神枪手的广告他跋涉了三个月来到澳大利亚，途中还顺便解救了一位把他错认为是男友的姑娘“疯狂”考娜。他们来到了马斯顿农场，却发现农场主马斯顿的雇佣他的目的是要让他射杀当地的土著人。愤怒的马修把马斯顿扔出房间，却被农场的打手们打的不省人事。然后又和考娜一起被扔到丛林中让他们自生自灭。二人被土著人救起。但得知了消息的马斯顿随即高价悬赏马休的人头，并派出手下追杀他们。面对马斯顿的嚣张和土著人的善良，认真起来的马修和考娜二人的报复同样冷酷而残忍。
