　　ynopsis from Time Out Film Guide: Between the seemingly idyllic opening and closing scenes depicting a rural community, first at church, then at the village festival, Fleischmann attacks that community's prejudices and ignorance without remorse. His very precisely observed portrait of Bavarian life begins with little more than a display of the villagers' constant ribbing, bawdy humour, continuous gossip, and more than a hint of their slow-wittedness. With the return of a young man, their idle malice and childish clowning, always on the edge of unpleasantness, receive some focus: quite without foundation, the lad is victimised as a homosexual. The crippling conformity of their ingrained conservatism leads the villagers to reject anything 'different': a young widow is ostracised, more for her crippled lover and idiot son than her morals; a teacher is frozen out because she's educated; the casual destruction of the young 'homosexual' is given no more thought than the cutting up of a pig. Not Germany in the '30s but the '70s; nevertheless the political parallels are clear. An impressive film.

　　十九世纪七十到八十年代，曾参加过普丹战争的丹麦军官Gunner Dinesen（维果·莫腾森），带着青春期女儿Ingeborg（Viilbjørk Mollie Malling）从丹麦来到阿根廷，加入阿根廷军队，参加征服沙漠之战，女儿却跟一个阿根廷士兵私奔，生死未卜，他从此踏上了荒漠里的绝望寻女之路。

　　文革期间，下乡女知青乔叶叶（李羚 饰）不识敌我，村支书带她甄别全村的“四类分子”，当来到所谓“坏人”金召（王咏歌 饰）家时，金召的坦荡和热情深深打动了乔叶叶。知青组长宋侃（丛林 饰）怕乔叶叶不能胜任繁重农活，把她调到伙房帮厨，厨师盼雨（梁冠华 饰）憨厚朴实，对叶叶很有好感，尤端阳（陈青 饰）认为这正好体现知青与贫下中农打成一片，在明知宋侃也对叶叶有意的情况下，她仍撮合盼雨与叶叶结合。新婚不久，盼雨病逝，而叶叶却有了身孕，洽逢文革结束，知青大返城。宋侃和端阳考上大学远走高飞，叶叶则面临孤立无援之境。金召平反后坦露了对叶叶的爱意，叶叶对此十分感激......

　　I have always wondered about the disappearance of "Deluge". Why for so many years, seemingly since it's release in 1933, this film vanished from the face of the earth. After seeing it, courtesy of the efforts of Mr. Wade Williams & Co., I'm still puzzled, but I have a theory. In 1933, "the code" was enacted that pretty much took care of sex and violence in Hollywood. While not an explicit film by any means, "Deluge" does deal fairly frankly with sexuality, lust and rape. I wonder if RKO discovered they had a film that they could not re-release, much like the fabled lost Warner Bros. comedy "Convention City". It's a shame for, while it is a dated film, I find it quite unique and surprising for it's era and a fairly successful attempt to create something different in an era when films were already becoming cookie cutter by-products of the studio machine (not that many of those cookies aren't tasty, mind you). And even though the only available copy at this writing is dubbed into Italian, I don't find that a hinderance. An excellent job was done in subtitling the film, and much of the film is visual anyway.

　　日本神户某个飘雪的冬日，渡边博子（中山美穗）在前未婚夫藤井树的两周年祭日上又一次悲痛到不能自已。正因为无法抑制住对已逝恋人的思念，渡边博子在其中学同学录里发现“藤井树” 在小樽市读书时的地址时，依循着寄发了一封本以为是发往天国的情书。
　　不想不久渡边博子竟然收到署名为“藤井树（酒井美纪）”的回信，经过进一步了解，她知晓此藤井树是一个同她年纪相仿的女孩，且还是男友藤井树（柏原崇）少年时代的同班同学。为了多了解一些昔日恋人在中学时代的情况，渡边博子开始与女性藤井树书信往来。而藤井树在不断的回忆中，渐渐发现少年时代与她同名同姓的那个藤井树曾对自己藏了一腔柔情。

　　著名话剧演员渊透世（檀丽 饰）去世前，将一支口红交到女儿小累的手中。这支口红是她和女儿一生幸福与痛苦的源头。长大以后，脸上留着恐怖疤痕的渊累（芳根京子 饰）见到了曾为母亲担任经纪人的羽生田（浅野忠信 饰）。羽生田带着唯唯诺诺的女孩来到剧场，观看了美丽的女孩丹泽妮娜（土屋太凤 饰）的表演。高傲的妮娜怎么也想不到，丑陋的累竟然可以用那支口红和她交换容颜。原来妮娜身体不佳，且演技进入瓶颈，所以羽生田提出让有着蓬勃表演欲望的小累担任妮娜的替身。在此之后，顶着美丽容颜的小累在舞台上飞速成长，而妮娜隐隐感觉到自己有将被取代的危险……
