盛夏的告别

　　实加（石田光 饰）和千津子（中岛朋子 饰）是情同手足的姐妹，千津子非常疼爱自己的妹妹，而实加也心安理得的生活在千津子的照顾之下，不用为任何事情操心。不幸的是，一场意外夺走了千津子的生命，为了安抚心碎欲绝的母亲，实加不得不在家中扮演起了姐姐的角色，这一切令她感到十分的疲倦，无人倾诉的实加只得将心里的郁闷诉说给姐姐的遗像听。
　　一天夜里，实加在路上遇见了几个小流氓，在这千钧一发之际，姐姐的魂魄竟然显灵了，千津子赋予了实加强大的力量，帮助她击退了流氓。实加终于发现，即便已经不再人世，千津子依然挂念着她。

　　Novelist Joseph Shearing specialized in using real cases which took place in Victorian England, altering them for fictional purposes. MOSS ROSE in 1947 was the first film to be made from his novels, then in 1948 two of his works were adapted for the screen, this film and THE MARK OF CAIN. The movie stars Todd as a recently widowed missionary returning to her home in England from Jamaica. During the voyage, she meets Milland, a charming though dangerous rascal who is wanted by police in connection with some unsavory dealings. Milland contracts malaria while onboard the ship and Todd nurses him back to health. In London, Todd settles into her home, taking in boarders to make ends meet. Milland arrives, moves in, and proclaims his love for her. Todd is thrilled, but it seems rather obvious that Milland is only toying with her. Milland finds some letters written to her by her friend, Fitzgerald, in which Fitzgerald reveals some of her sexual indiscretions. Since Fitzgerald is now married to the wealthy Huntley, Milland believes he can use the letters to blackmail Fitzgerald. Todd's love for Milland is so great that she goes along with the plan. Huntley, however, learns of the scheme and also uncovers details of Milland's shady past. Fearing for her lover's safety, Todd poisons Huntley, then remains silent when Fitzgerald is arrested for the murder. Milland has by now genuinely fallen in love with Todd and the two make plans to leave England. Before they can depart, one of Milland's former lovers shows up and Todd, in a jealous rage, kills Milland, then turns herself into the police.
　　This is an intriguing film, although a little on the talky side. The performances are excellent throughout, with Milland shining as the cad, the type of role in which he excelled. Though he spent most of his time making films in the US, he occasionally returned to his native England for a production and this was his first British film since FRENCH WITHOUT TEARS in 1939. Director Allen was also an Englishman who chose to work in the US, this being his first directorial effort in his homeland. This was the fourth and last time Milland and Allen would work together, their pairing having begun in 1944 with the wonderfully eerie THE UNINVITED.

　　I have always wondered about the disappearance of "Deluge". Why for so many years, seemingly since it's release in 1933, this film vanished from the face of the earth. After seeing it, courtesy of the efforts of Mr. Wade Williams & Co., I'm still puzzled, but I have a theory. In 1933, "the code" was enacted that pretty much took care of sex and violence in Hollywood. While not an explicit film by any means, "Deluge" does deal fairly frankly with sexuality, lust and rape. I wonder if RKO discovered they had a film that they could not re-release, much like the fabled lost Warner Bros. comedy "Convention City". It's a shame for, while it is a dated film, I find it quite unique and surprising for it's era and a fairly successful attempt to create something different in an era when films were already becoming cookie cutter by-products of the studio machine (not that many of those cookies aren't tasty, mind you). And even though the only available copy at this writing is dubbed into Italian, I don't find that a hinderance. An excellent job was done in subtitling the film, and much of the film is visual anyway.

　　《弃卒》剧本由斯蒂文·奈特（Steven Knight）创作，制片人盖尔·卡茨（Gail Katz）若干年前就开始为哥伦比亚公司筹划此片了，除他之外，传闻将主演该片的托比·马奎尔（Tobey Maguire）也将担任制片人。

　　万宝隆是平阳城最大的银号，每个月底都有一辆满载钞票的运钞车开往远在北平的总店，然而整个万宝隆的人都不会想到，早在半年前，祝小米和周年这两个贼就已经打起了运钞车的主意。 经过周密计划，祝小米和周年二人住进了运钞车必经之路旁的一处宅院中。这天夜里，就在他们商量打劫计划时，头顶一架日本轰炸机轰鸣而过，两人吓得捂着脑袋躲在桌子底下。一阵烟尘过后，两人看见一颗没有爆炸的重磅炸弹笔直的插在了客厅的地板上。

　　金尾（Lily Franky 饰）和翔子（木村多江 饰）是一对普通的夫妇，金尾在鞋铺工作，翔子则是某杂志编辑部内不断被琐事烦扰的小编辑。夫妻俩的生活平淡无奇，甚至连亲热之事也按固定日期计划进行。
　　在朋友的介绍下，金尾谋得一份法庭画家的工作。虽然妻子家人都不甚看好，但在安田（柄本明 饰）等前辈的帮助下，他的工作逐渐步入正轨。翔子不满意丈夫先斩后奏的做法，同时被杂志社的俗务所烦扰，但她心中幸福的种子正在发芽，一个小生命即将为这对夫妇的生活带来新的体验……

　　科林（詹米·多南 Jamie Dornan 饰）是一名野心勃勃的金融家，一心希望腰缠万贯的迪拜酋长谢赫（奥马尔·本·哈依德 Omar Bin Haider 饰）能够成为自己的客户。谢赫希望得到一只名为小白头的赛鸽，然而，赛鸽的主人乔斯（简·德克莱尔 Jan Decleir 饰）早已经将小白头当成了自己的家人，绝对不可能因为金钱将小白头出卖。

　　盗车集团大头目梦龙在做案现场被发现，因持枪拒捕被击毙。梦艳立誓要为哥哥报仇。她深信，是和梦龙刚分手的柳兰告了密，并指使情人林鹏去接近柳兰，伺机杀掉她。柳兰是传呼台接线员，与爷爷相依为命。林鹏装成好心人接近她，纯真的柳兰和他交上了朋友。柳兰带林鹏去医院看望生病的爷爷，爷爷认出林鹏是犯罪团伙的成员，要柳兰断绝了和林鹏的关系。梦艳一计不成，又指使同伙卷毛和小三折磨柳兰病重的爷爷，恐吓柳兰。柳兰在深夜被卷毛和小三拦住调戏。她赶到医院，发现爷爷已气绝，有入拔去了爷爷的氧气管。深爱林鹏的柳兰在爷爷死后更加依恋林鹏，而林鹏却寻机要向她下毒手。梦艳一方面命令林鹏尽快下手，一方面又指使卷毛和小三绑架柳兰。在与柳兰的接触中，林鹏逐渐发现柳兰的纯真与无辜，对她产生怜爱。柳兰无意中发现了林鹏身上和梦龙一样的文身，非常吃惊，慌忙逃走。结果被卷毛和小三劫持。就在他们要杀害杉r兰的紧急关头，林鹏赶来救出了柳兰。在草木丛密的木料场，林鹏向柳兰道出了他为梦龙复仇、杀人灭口的阴谋。柳兰没有想到她爱的竟是千方百计要杀她的人，悲忿之机，夺路逃走。林鹏追到山崖，柳兰苦劝林鹏尽快摆脱犯罪集团。林鹏犹豫不决，把这一切看在眼里的梦艳出现，她爱恨交织，疯狂地将匕首刺入林鹏腹中，随即又扑向前来搭救林鹏的柳兰，将柳兰推下枯井。林鹏至此终于大彻火悟．认清了梦艳的面目，他忍着剧痛，和梦艳搏斗，救出了柳兰，严惩了疯狂的梦艳。一对死里逃生的恋人，终于从梦中走了出来。 影片通过一个纯情少女和几个罪犯在利益、情感和复仇的冲突中，对罪犯心理进行了较深刻的描写。

　　民国年间，马文才、张小猴师徒混迹南方做一些冒充高人的骗人勾当，意外卷入一场凶杀案，被误当做杀人凶手。为解除嫌疑二人不得不留在此地揪出真凶。接二连三的怪事儿似乎证实了之前不详的传闻，张小猴发现近日的种种遭遇竟和一个困扰自己多年的梦境有关。
