　　该剧描述了维京人鼎盛时期的故事，他们在当时的北欧地区处于统治地位，因为喜好海上劫掠并不断对外扩张，被人们冠以「北欧海盗」的别号。该剧将侧重于描写维京人的生活、贸易、探索及对外侵袭。

　　罗蕾莱（劳伦·格拉汉姆 Lauren Graham 饰）未婚先孕，年仅十六岁便生下了女儿洛瑞（阿丽克西斯·布莱德尔 Alexis Bledel 饰），为此，她不惜与母亲艾米丽（Kelly Bishop 饰）和父亲理查德（爱德华·赫曼 Edward Herrmann 饰）决裂，离开了富有的家庭，靠着自己的倔强和努力独自抚养女儿。
　　时间流逝如同白驹过隙，如今，洛瑞已然成为了亭亭玉立的漂亮姑娘，罗蕾莱亦步入中年，幸运的是，独特的成长环境和极小的年龄差距反而让洛瑞和母亲之间宛如朋友，相处起来轻松又自然，同时，品学兼优的洛瑞拥有着考入哈佛大学新闻系的远大理想。亲情，友情，爱情，成长，在每一个人的生命里都留下了无法磨灭的印记。

　　故事发生在一座名为“东城”的小城之中，梅尔（凯特·温丝莱特 Kate Winslet 饰）是在那里生活和工作的一名警探，每一天，梅尔都要处理镇子上发生的各种各样的琐事，这些事情堆积到一起，难免令她感到身心疲惫。
　　某日，一起谋杀案的发生打破了小镇的宁静气氛，一位名叫艾琳（卡莉·史派妮 Cailee Spaeny 饰）的少女妈妈被人发现死在了河滩上。一段流出的视频显示，艾琳在死亡当天，曾经遭到过前男友迪伦（杰克·马赫恩 Jack Mulhern 饰）和其现任女友布里安娜（麦肯齐·兰辛 Mackenzie Lansing 饰）的霸凌，梅尔毫不犹豫拘捕了两人。这桩案件带来的影响犹如蝴蝶效应一般迅速席卷了整个小镇，一时之间，梅尔身边的所有人似乎被卷入了案件之中。

　　在一个吸血鬼学院，两个年轻女人的友谊超越了她们的阶层，因为她们准备完成学业，进入吸血鬼社会。一个是强大的皇室成员，另一个是半吸血鬼的守护者，被训练来抵御野蛮的“返魂尸”。

　　糊涂侦探是由喜剧大师梅尔.布鲁克斯编剧的电视剧集《糊涂侦探》在60年代仿效当时流行的007系列电影改编的间谍喜剧。
　　10多年前在国内放映过，国内也踊跃出一大批剧迷。男主人公叫麦克斯韦.精明-特工86号，他的女搭档是99号特工。里面的特工用品都很滑稽，比如86号的皮鞋电话、局长的隔音罩等等。
　　该片在1965年-1970年在电视台播出，1989年又顺时推出了《新糊涂侦探》，95年又推出了《糊涂侦探再度出击》；1980年克里夫.唐纳导演的电影版86号《The Nude Bomb》。这些都是由男主角唐.亚当斯主演，更值得一提的是同在国内被人熟知的动画连续剧《神探加杰特》"Inspector Gadget" (1983) [TV-Series 1983-1986]中的加杰特也是由亚当斯配音，后来亚当斯多次为加杰特配音并演出过一个电视版--The Amazing Adventures of Inspector Gadget（1986），就连99年马修布罗德里克主演的电影版本《G型特工》，亚当斯也为其中一个角色配音。
　　糊涂侦探(Get Smart)的主演，麦克斯韦·史马特(Maxwell·Smart)的扮演者Don Adams(1923-2005)先生于2005年9月25日去世了，享年82岁。

　　该剧由吴恬敏和兰道尔·朴饰一对美国华人夫妻Jessica和Louis，而温明娜将饰Jessica的新好友Elaine，美籍华人，知心姐姐型人物，被称为“中国奥普拉”[笑cry]她幽默聪颖，是Jessica梦寐以求的华人好友形象，她们有很多共同语言。
　　李饰演Elaine家的Julius，一个热爱牛排、苹果派、达拉斯牛仔等许多美式事物的男子。Louis和他很快打成一片，但Louis的一个旧日好友的出现让两人的友谊受到考验。
　　欧阳万成饰演Elaine和Julius的儿子Horace，一个有才华又随和的艺术家，跳了两级，16岁就以全额奖学金上了哈佛。Jessica很快就喜欢上了这个神童，但他的过去有一些秘密⋯⋯

　　本片根据真实事件改编，取材自一起三十年未能侦破的刑事案件，讲述了一个哥哥在不断寻找失踪妹妹的过程中希望逐步褪变成绝望的故事。
　　1989年夏天，汉堡高级警官托马斯·贝特格的妹妹芭芭拉·内德尔从位于下萨克森州-韦森伯格镇附近的家中失踪，从此以后下落不明。就在不久前，两对夫妇在附近的一个大森林里相继被残忍杀害，警方很快将犯罪嫌疑人锁定为艺术家汉斯·林格纳，因为林格纳住在森林边上且痴迷于枪支。起初，警方并没有将发生在该"死亡之林"（伊塞森林）里的谋杀案和芭芭拉·内德尔失踪案联系到一起。下萨克森州警方反倒很快怀疑上芭芭拉的丈夫罗伯特·内德尔，案发时他正准备与芭芭拉离婚。两人的女儿特蕾莎也因母亲的失踪和父亲的犯罪嫌疑而备受折磨，痛苦万分，之后连她也开始相信自己的父亲是杀害母亲的凶手。
　　与此同时，下落不明的芭芭拉的哥哥--汉堡警局局长托马斯·贝特格面临着一生中最难执行的任务：找到失踪的妹妹。但作为汉堡警察，依法他无法在下萨克森州开展调查工作。不过在警察安妮·巴赫和昔日同事兼下属的弗兰克·贝林格的支持下，退休的托马斯·贝特格仍锲而不舍地调查，并已经追踪到了一名连环杀人案嫌疑人。

《金斯敦市长》由杰里米·雷纳和黛安·韦斯特主演，讲述了密歇根州金斯敦的权力掮客麦克卢斯基家族的故事。在美国，监禁业务是唯一繁荣的行业。
