每一道意式料理，都有「意料」之外的故事！意大利「地膽」兼星級大廚林紋蔚(Amy)帶著吳兆麟(Alan)，在美食之國意大利進行一場「搵食」真人騷，實地考察各種食材由產地送至食客嘴邊的過程！每集會聚焦不同食材，如魚子醬、雞蛋、蜂蜜……Amy帶Alan到農場、鱘魚養殖場、果園……打工，親身體驗食材育成或釀製的過程，還造訪不同餐廳，品嚐以特定食材炮製的特色菜，發掘食材背後的故事，及「意料」之外的人情味！
吃到滋味的美食固然令人感動，食品背後卻還可能隱藏着廚師們的動人故事。節目由日本在地「美食達人」帶路，引領「日本通」周奕瑋與「旅遊節目新丁」王敏奕，到訪一些可能旅遊書未有介紹，或者是並不起眼的餐廳小店。除了發掘隱秘食店之外，美食達人還會帶來食物資訊，並分享品嚐美食的私心貼士。此外，每集還會圍繞「夢想」、「夫妻檔」等不同主題，道出食店的暖心故事。齊來踏上這趟感動味蕾之旅，嚐遍日本關西的百味。
