　　这部纪录片以纳萨尔格纳瓦乐队为线索追溯到灵魂音乐之起源，也就是一千多年前的摩洛哥，一千多年前的非洲大陆。导演希望通过这部纪录片能向世人展示这种宝贵的文化遗产之魅力。片中着重介绍了撒哈拉音乐，纳萨尔格纳瓦音乐以及著名诗人埃尔·梅迪巴的诗歌节选。

　　1984年，劉若瑀當時離開臺灣到美國加州，向波蘭劇場大師葛羅托斯基（Jerzy GROTOWSKI）學習表演，在一座牧場中她與其他來自各地的表演者日以繼夜地訓練。劉若瑀回到臺灣，於1988年創辦了「優劇場」，帶領一群人一同經歷「溯」計畫，藉由拜訪各地老師傅，向他們學習傳統技藝：太極、車鼓、高蹺、道士等，透過不斷地身體訓練，尋找著屬於東方人的表演方式。
　　1994年轉變為「優人神鼓」，透過靜坐、擊鼓與武術建立出優人的訓練與表演方法，從外在的形式，轉為内在的追求。1998年，優人神鼓以《聽海之心》在法國亞維儂藝術節演出，一舉登上世界舞台。
　　如今優人神鼓走過三十年，下一步優人將會走向何方？

　　这是一部迟到了很久的纪录片，记载的是1974年穆罕默德·阿里和乔治·福尔曼在前扎伊尔首都金沙萨进行的着名的“丛林之战”，居然还跟现场直播一样扣人心弦。胶片的仰视视角将阿里放大成了一个文化标记，但由诺曼·梅勒和乔治·普林顿撰写的犀利解说词则令他重返凡间。
