新城猎人

　　来自非洲象牙海岸的单亲妈妈萝丝带着两个儿子让和欧吉斯特搬到了巴黎郊区。从80年代到如今，这个家庭经历了组建和分解，跨越时空，一同寻回亲情和记忆。影片分三个篇章来讲述母子三十年间的成长经历，分别从妈妈、大儿子和小儿子的视角切入这个普通家庭努力融入异乡生活背后的种种艰辛。
　　萝丝希望给孩子最好的生活，对个人价值也有所追求，在平衡自我和家庭时却常常感到力不从心，融入当地主流社会的努力有时也得不到孩子们的理解；哥哥让到了青春期，父爱的缺失也让他不知如何处理自己的感情，逐渐封闭自己；弟弟欧吉斯特在成长过程中目睹家庭的变化，对哥哥被送走的决定深感失望，成年后他选择独自生活，但内心却依然孤独。

　　维多利亚时代的英国小镇莱姆，年轻的绅士查尔斯（杰里米艾恩斯 Jeremy Irons 饰）在海边的悬崖上邂逅了一个神秘黑衣女子（梅丽尔斯特里普 Meryl Streep 饰）。听当地人说，黑衣女子名叫萨拉，因为曾与一名法国中尉有染，所以遭众人非议，被称为“法国中尉的女人”。不过，查尔斯却对这位遗世独立的女人颇感兴趣，尽管他已经有了一个贤淑的未婚妻，并拟定了婚期，但他还是抑制不住萨拉的诱惑。两个人在几次试探后，终于开始幽会。萨拉对查尔斯讲述了她的遭遇和经历，但这一幕却被他人窥视，于是偷偷摸摸的私情面临公诸于众的危机……
　　无独有偶，这段故事被改编成了同名电影，女主角萨拉的扮演者安娜与男主角查尔斯的扮演者迈克，也给戏中人一样，保持着若即若离的情人关系，只是结局却出人意料……

　　在Jodorowsky的所有我们能看到的电影里——除过之后的《獠牙》跟《彩虹贼》，这部他早期长篇电影《凡多和莉丝》相比起他大名鼎鼎的《鼹鼠》，《圣山》和《圣血》显得十分不起眼。
　　
　　不过这部影片维持了Jodorowsky影片一贯的光怪陆离，开始的镜头就是侧躺在桌子上的莉丝生吃掉一朵花，整个故事是一对情侣凡多和他腿有残疾的女朋友莉丝一起去寻找传说中神秘的“Tar之城“一路上的经历，途中不断的有不同的怪人诱惑凡多离开双腿不能动的莉丝，甚至还有凡多的母亲，而他们却好象一直都无法离开原来的地方——酷似煤矿的小山，途中还时常出现他们的幻象（时间太久，记不清楚具体的，大家自己看），在找到了Tar之后，凡多却终于忍受不了莉丝，将她暴打致死，后来他十分懊悔，按照莉丝生前的愿望将她埋葬，在坟头上放上了一朵花，并自己躺在她坟墓旁，直到落下的树叶几乎将他埋没，至此，影片在异常欢快的音乐中结束。
　　
　　不过也许是由于对宗教的生僻和文化背景的不同，据说这部影片在墨西哥阿卡普尔科电影节首映的时候观众被吓的四散而走，是因为受不了影片中残忍的镜头，不过看了这部影片我居然莫名其妙的感伤起来，我都不知道我该去想些什么，而Jodorowsky也由此开始他被放逐到海外拍片的生涯，不过之后才有了更经典的《鼹鼠》，《圣山》和《圣血》，也更富有反宗教的意味，相比起《凡多和莉丝》更加被观众认同。
　　
　　可能此片仅仅是他古怪念头的最初尝试，虽然情节很古怪，可倒也不至于不知所云，凡多和莉丝他俩寻找的这座“Tar之城”是个异常奇妙的地方，所有的城池在大灾难降临后都被毁了，只有Tar还矗立着，所以人们传说只要到了Tar，就可以获得食物跟美酒，甚至可以获得永恒；到了Tar，才可以真正理解生命，可以爱也可以被爱，会着迷于未来，而且，Tar永远不会遗弃任何一个人…如此完美的地方，可以看成是个严重理想化的境地，接近理想国的过程自然有荆棘和劫难，更要经受意志的考验，而只有知道如何达成理想的人才能最终实现理想，一开始，凡多和莉丝相信只要找到Tar莉丝一定可以重新走路，而他们所有的问题也都会解决，所以说凡多和莉丝可以说是失败了，尽管他们找到了他们的目标，但最终还是被湮灭在了对过分理想化的Tar的畅想中，这也是我觉得这个故事还存在了一丝凄美味道的原因，凡多和莉丝的爱情悲剧可能正因为他俩的迷茫，虽然有生活的方向，却并不知道如何去达成自己的理想，最后演变为绝望，末路，自我以及互相伤害，这多多少少也印证了那个年代青年的心态——尽管Jodorowsky可能并没想这么说。
　　
　　精彩的配乐也是Jodorowsky所有影片的共同特点，可惜只找到《鼹鼠》的原声，包括本片在内的其他几部的原声只好继续寻觅了，我尤其是特别喜欢莉丝唱的那首“当我死后，将我埋在….”，曲调很是优美，声音也很有质感，尽管有那么点感伤，好象预知了这可怜女人的结局一样。
　　
　　还有就是，片头的那些画，我不知道它们是否也是宗教画，也不知道是否因为没有看明白那些画造成我对本片理解的偏差，所以希望懂的朋友给我解答吧，对于这样的影片我只能介绍，而尽可能的少去评论了。

　　影片讲述旧金山市两个出租车司机在唐人街里寻找一位偷走他们四千块钱的神秘客人的故事。虽然只是一部带有强烈个人风格的低成本影片，但这部影片被认为是独立制片的先锋作品，而且把亚裔美国人作为影剧院片主角引领到了大银幕上，而从此王颖也进入好莱坞主流导演行列。

　　妈妈的离去，给雷（艾力克斯•豪斯 Alex House 饰）留下了一个因精神问题家里蹲了4年的哥哥莫里（大卫•兰道尔 David Rendall 饰），傲慢的妹妹莉莎（塔提阿娜•玛斯拉尼 Tatiana Maslany 饰），不怎么大的房子和一只名为“先生”的猫。无奈之下，雷从公寓搬回了家中，开始了和兄妹们的同居生活。爱好高达模型性格孤僻的雷各种不适应，其中最棘手的莫过于被妈妈从日本接过来的外婆（罇真佐子 饰）。外婆不会说英语，整日坐在窗前发呆，每天早晨要花很长时间在厕所，出来后会叹一大口气，喜欢看空气吉他表演。
　　住在同一屋檐下的四人一猫，在磨合中渐渐有了交集。雷的电话开始多了，莫里对妈妈留下的缝纫机产生兴趣，莉莎注意上了诗歌课上的个性男。不会说英语的外婆能够神奇的感知他们的内心，会做好吃的煎饺。雷也把原来准备买模型的钱用来购置日式马桶。一家人因为外婆微妙的联系在一起。

　　Salomé (1923), a silent film directed by Charles Bryant and starring Alla Nazimova, is a film adaptation of the Oscar Wilde play of the same name. The play itself is a loose retelling of the biblical story of King Herod and his execution of John the Baptist (here, as in Wilde's play, called Jokaanan) at the request of his stepdaughter, Salomé, whom he lusts after.
　　Salomé is often called one of the first art films to be made in the U.S.[citation needed] The highly stylized costumes, exaggerated acting (even for the period), minimal sets, and absence of all but the most necessary props make for a screen image much more focused on atmosphere and on conveying a sense of the characters' individual heightened desires than on conventional plot development.
　　Despite the film being only a little over an hour in length and having no real action to speak of, it cost over $350,000 to make. All the sets were constructed indoors to be able to have complete control over the lighting. The film was shot completely in black and white, matching the illustrations done by Aubrey Beardsley in the printed edition of Wilde's play. The costumes, designed by Natacha Rambova, used material only from Maison Lewis of Paris, such as the real silver lamé loincloths worn by the guards.
　　No major studio would be associated with the film, and it was years after its completion before it was released, by a minor independent distributor. It was a complete failure at the time and marked the end of Nazimova's producing career.
　　A longstanding rumor, which seems to have started while the film was still in production, suggests that its cast is comprised entirely of gay and bisexual actors in an homage to Oscar Wilde, as per star and producer Nazimova's demand. It is, of course, impossible to say, but one of the extras in Salomé reported that a number of the cast members—both featured and extras—were indeed gay, but not an unusual percentage of them, and certainly not all of them. What can be said is that Nazimova herself was a lesbian, the two guard characters (who, next to Salomé, have the most screen time) are at least played very stereotypically gay, and several of the female courtiers are men in drag.
　　Salomé was screened in 1989 at the New York International Festival of Lesbian and Gay films and in 1990 at the New York Gay Experimental Film Festival.
　　In 2000, the United States Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.

　　Novelist Joseph Shearing specialized in using real cases which took place in Victorian England, altering them for fictional purposes. MOSS ROSE in 1947 was the first film to be made from his novels, then in 1948 two of his works were adapted for the screen, this film and THE MARK OF CAIN. The movie stars Todd as a recently widowed missionary returning to her home in England from Jamaica. During the voyage, she meets Milland, a charming though dangerous rascal who is wanted by police in connection with some unsavory dealings. Milland contracts malaria while onboard the ship and Todd nurses him back to health. In London, Todd settles into her home, taking in boarders to make ends meet. Milland arrives, moves in, and proclaims his love for her. Todd is thrilled, but it seems rather obvious that Milland is only toying with her. Milland finds some letters written to her by her friend, Fitzgerald, in which Fitzgerald reveals some of her sexual indiscretions. Since Fitzgerald is now married to the wealthy Huntley, Milland believes he can use the letters to blackmail Fitzgerald. Todd's love for Milland is so great that she goes along with the plan. Huntley, however, learns of the scheme and also uncovers details of Milland's shady past. Fearing for her lover's safety, Todd poisons Huntley, then remains silent when Fitzgerald is arrested for the murder. Milland has by now genuinely fallen in love with Todd and the two make plans to leave England. Before they can depart, one of Milland's former lovers shows up and Todd, in a jealous rage, kills Milland, then turns herself into the police.
　　This is an intriguing film, although a little on the talky side. The performances are excellent throughout, with Milland shining as the cad, the type of role in which he excelled. Though he spent most of his time making films in the US, he occasionally returned to his native England for a production and this was his first British film since FRENCH WITHOUT TEARS in 1939. Director Allen was also an Englishman who chose to work in the US, this being his first directorial effort in his homeland. This was the fourth and last time Milland and Allen would work together, their pairing having begun in 1944 with the wonderfully eerie THE UNINVITED.

　　故事发生在1692年的马萨诸塞州，在一个地处偏远的小镇之中，生活着一群虔诚又愚昧的人们。女孩阿比盖尔（薇诺娜·瑞德 Winona Ryder 饰）是牧师的侄女，因此在镇上享有很高的声誉，凡是她说的话人们都信，凡是她做的事人们都赞成。凭借着自己的“特权”，阿比盖尔将数十名她看不惯的女子以“女巫”之名送上了绞刑架，这其中就有约翰（丹尼尔·戴-刘易斯 Daniel Day Lewis 饰）的妻子伊莉莎贝斯（琼·艾伦 Joan Allen 饰）。
　　约翰一直都将阿比盖尔的狼子野心看在眼里，但由于两人之间的情人关系，他只得保持缄默，直到阿比盖尔将魔爪伸向了伊莉莎贝斯，约翰才明白事态的严重性。约翰向法官告发了阿比盖尔的罪行，然而，却没有人相信他的“胡言乱语”。

　　19世纪末叶，北京城内一豪华住宅，帝国公使夫人安娜正与英使翻译查尔斯幽会。查尔斯得知安娜即将随夫回国，要她一同私奔，远赴英伦。这时，房东来报，帝国公使馆武官别里科夫前来捉奸，已进院落。二人从后门逃走，别里科夫穷追不舍。一伙乞丐卖艺求赏，阻止了武官，等他再追时，发现二人已经不见。安娜得一位中国公子哥儿相救进入王府，却发现公子哥儿原来是一个美貌少女。她刚准备回公使馆，适逢王爷归来，原来王爷就是混迹于丐帮的黑衣神人，他惊艳于安娜的美貌。别里科夫以安娜幽会时遗失的宝石坠儿相要挟，查尔斯剑下受辱。在帝国公使阿尔昔金的告别假面舞会上，公子打扮的文瑞为抗婚求查尔斯弄赴英国的护照；别里科夫伺机向查尔斯寻衅；查尔斯欲约安娜私奔；王爷化装猎美。一时危机四伏。第二日晚，帝国公使夫妇赴日公使馆。日公使伊滕出门迎接时，只有公使阿尔卡金，公使夫人失踪，造成惊动京城的一桩公案。别里科夫奔到查尔斯和安娜幽会地点，却撞上了王府的“公子”，状极狼狈。日、英、法、美诸国公使照会清政府，保护外国人，从速破案。查尔斯怀疑是帝国阴谋，潜入帝国使馆查找线索，被阿尔卡金锁进暗室。格格文瑞求王爷打探公使夫人消息，却在府内后花园发现了安娜尸体，惊诧不已。别里科夫向帝国皇帝告公使耽误公事，公使惶惶不安。这时，刚运来装古董的木箱内冒出安娜幽灵，他被吓得魂不附体，向安娜画像忏悔，不该为了得到中国古画，毒死安娜。一直被关的查尔斯听后气愤已极，拔枪欲给情人报仇，安娜的“幽灵”忽至，查尔斯夺门而逃。别里科夫闻声前来，与幽灵交战，幽灵受伤。查尔斯把幽灵救回王府，发现幽灵是格格文瑞所扮。文瑞以此计抢回古画，死尸也被送走。王爷进宫请罪。为救哥哥性命，文瑞派人带画追去。
