　　丹尼尔（迈克尔·恩奎斯特 Michael Nyqvist 饰）是一名指挥家，专业技能出色的他在全世界范围内享有着极高的声誉，随着时间的流逝，他的身体渐渐的开始无法支撑他对音乐的热情，一次突然来袭的心脏病迫使他永远的告别了舞台。为了养病，丹尼尔回到了久违的家乡，在那里，他成为了教堂唱诗班的指挥。
　　工作上的停顿让丹尼尔十分沮丧，但在风景如画的家乡里，他找到了新的人生意义。同时，对于村民们来说，丹尼尔的到来和他所带来的对于音乐的热情和执着，也让这个平静的小镇熠熠生辉。
　　该片于2005年提名了第77届奥斯卡金像奖的最佳外语片，这也是瑞典影片第14次以奥斯卡提名片的身份出现在人们的眼前。

　　文革中，农村青年赵天佑，因家庭出身为地主，差点沦落为神经病，无奈中入赘山区柳沟河。改革开放后，当选为村委会主任。在爷爷帮助过的长工儿子的帮助下，做起了中药材生意，几年功夫，柳沟河人靠种植中药材发家致富，赵天佑也因此成为农民企业家。常务副市长王华林看到了其中的发展前景，把文阳县开发区升级为云水市中药材开发区，极力主张中药材深加工。王华林后来被冒牌港商茹丽华拉下水，帮助她在云水市玩“空手道”套取资金。农民企业家赵天佑中了茹丽华的美人计，茹丽华骗走了柳沟河农民的中药材，然后潜逃。赵天佑迫于道德压力与法律追问，大雪天跳崖自杀。

　　Howard Tyler (Frank Lovejoy) is a family man, living in California, who can't seem to get by financially. He meets up with a small-time, but charismatic, hood Jerry Slocum (Lloyd Bridges). Soon, Slocum convinces Tyler to participate in gas station robberies to get by. Later, they kidnap a wealthy man in hopes of getting a huge ransom. Things go wrong when the man is murdered by Slocum then thrown in a lake. Tyler reaches his limit emotionally, and he begins drinking heavily. He meets a lonely woman and confesses the crime while drunk. The woman flees and goes to the police.
　　When the two kidnappers are arrested, a local journalist (Richard Carlson) writes a series of hate-filled articles about the two prisoners which eventually lead to a brutal lynching.
　　The despair of the lower middle-class: A family man ashamed of being unemployed allows himself to be convinced by a gangster to take part in a kidnapping. The police arrests them both and the anger of the small town’s population is unforgiving. THE SOUND OF FURY is a dark crime movie that builds up to an apocalyptic storm, but never loses sight of social realities, thus telling a lot about the daily despair of the working-class. A masterpiece, it was Cy Endfield’s last film before he felt compelled to move to Britain.

　　故事从3名小区保安夜晚巡逻时突遇楼道滴血进而发现灵异事件展开。影片以林紫凝、林勇（龙馨悦 饰）为这对双胎姐妹为主线，林紫凝因受他人设套被偷拍不雅视频并传到网上，在极度崩溃下选择了自杀。东海市公安局刑警支队重案队队长陶明（梁辰羽 饰）查阅了案发现场资料后断定，这起案件的背后肯定隐藏着惊天秘密。林勇为 得知姐姐死讯后，火速赶到东海市，老同学陶明赶到火车站接站，并转交了其姐姐林紫凝的遗物，林勇为深知姐姐性格刚烈，坚定姐姐是被人陷害，并暗自下定决心要亲自查个水落石出，是苍蝇还是老虎，是真的有鬼还是人为作怪……

　　1980年代，南方某特区。运输公司第七修理小组聚集着全公司的“废品”，他们破罐破摔，整日喝酒打发时光。一天，刘敏（陈锐 饰）带公司宣传队开赴“废品”小组，平日懒散的肥翁（王忠超 饰）似打了兴奋剂，一厢情愿地爱上了宣传队员王幼纯（余娅 饰），而平日里嘴巴不离女人的天来（曹克明 饰）更是喜形于色。自尊好强的许明珠（林晓杰 饰）不屑与这帮无赖为伍，但刘敏决心借此机会改变第七小组的精神面貌。刘的举措得罪了人称“侠客”的吴滋安（张康尔 饰），最终导致“拳脚事件”，但刘敏正义刚直的性格受到众人的尊崇。深爱刘敏的许明珠劝他离开这个事非之地，刘敏拒绝了......

　　Henry is an introverted architect. After the death of his wife in a car accident, he sets out to help Millie, a homeless teen, to build a raft to sail across the Atlantic.

　　河南农村某公社的柿子沟生产队，因为缺水，缺大牲畜，给发展生产带来很大的困难。贫农出身的生产队委员韩芒种和副队长李十三，在物资交流会上遇到了一匹价钱便宜的瘦马。芒种认为，只要下功夫喂，这马准能喂好。经他再三坚持，说服了怕担责任的李十三，终于以120元的便宜价钱买下了这匹瘦马。队里的饲养员梁斗，是个自私自利思想严重的上中农。他本想自己买下瘦马，养肥了好倒卖赚钱。现在看芒种给队里买回来了就百般挑剔，故意刁难，拒绝承担喂养瘦马的任务。这时候，生产队长长水从公社开会回来，带来了会议提倡的自力更生、奋发图强的革命精神。他积极支持芒种喂养瘦马的要求，并提出了修渠引水，改造60亩旱地的建议。梁斗没有把马弄到手，不死心，他怂恿妻子刘翠香去挑唆芒种的妻子蔡秀真，叫她拉芒种的后腿。确实“买马容易，养马难”，芒种白天修水渠，夜里服侍瘦马，遭到秀真反对，加上芒种用了家里的香油和荞麦皮给马治病，秀真更是生气，和丈夫吵了一架回娘家去了。梁斗百般刁难，秀真吵架出走，使芒种的工作增加了很大阻力，但芒种并没有被困难吓倒，他仍然不辞辛苦地喂养瘦马。他认为喂好这匹马不仅仅是为了队里增加畜力的问题，而更重要的是“代表队里的一个志气，一个干劲，一个希望，一个精神”。他的行动得到长水和社员们的支持和鼓励。梁斗趁队里修水渠资金困难和李十三对喂养瘦马思想产生动摇的时机，又阴谋套购瘦马。芒种揭穿了他的诡计，并积极向长水建议，自己烧石灰，换修渠用的瓦管子，自力更生地克服困难。秀真从娘家回来以后，看见马已养肥，夫妻和好，但在刘翠香的唆使下，又自作主张地把马送到饲养室交给梁斗喂去了。芒种发现后，压制着内心的激愤和痛苦，对秀真进行耐心的启发教育，终于使其觉悟过来。为查清饲养室的问题，树立贫下中农在生产中的优势，芒种被队里派到饲养室。在长水等人的帮助下，终于揭露了梁斗偷饲料和其他损公利己的行为。在队领导和群众的共同努力下，水渠修成了，湍急的清流灌溉着干旱的土地，给柿子沟带来了丰收。芒种的瘦马也喂得膘肥体壮，拉着载满粮食的大车奔驰在通往公社的大道上。

　　橘孝平（中村雅俊 饰）和妻子千寻（原田美枝子 饰）之间早就没有了感情，他决定在退休的那一天提出离婚，然后着情人夏美一起经营事务所。千寻任劳任怨的做了三十年的全职太太，没想到忽然之间就失了业。绝望中，她找了一份钟点工的工作，服务于一位名叫丽子（户田惠子 饰）的女子。
　　丽子和千寻很快就成为了无话不谈的好友，在丽子的帮助下，千寻整个人都焕然一新，神采飞扬。改头换面的千寻吸引了小说家麻生的注意，然而千寻的心依旧系在孝平的身上。孝平和千寻的女儿真纪（星野真里 饰）生产在即，这让孝平重新见到了千寻，而一封迟到了三十年的信让孝平终于明白了千寻对自己深厚而又真挚的感情。

　　青年荒井健史（妻夫木聪 饰）此前一直照顾姨婆多喜（倍赏千恵子 饰）的生活起居，多喜年轻时曾在东京帮佣，如今在健史的纠缠下，她提笔写下了陈年的悲喜往事。那要回溯到昭和初期，年轻的多喜（黑木华 饰）离开山形老家，几经辗转进入平井家担任女佣。平井家在东京郊区盖了一栋红色屋顶的小房子，男主人（片冈孝太郎 饰）是玩具公司常务，女主人时子（松隆子 饰）雍容美丽。多喜对时子充满敬仰，她更全心全意为平井家服务。某年春节，玩具公司新来的设计人员板仓正治（吉冈秀隆 饰）走进平井家门。相近的趣味和爱好让他和时子愈加投机。与此同时，战况日渐激烈，有情男女藏着彼此的秘密，随波逐流……
　　本片根据中岛京子第143回直木赏同名获奖作品改编。

　　In the time of Counter-Reformation, a miller and his son come under investigation by a priest of the Inquisition, when rumors spread that their prosperity comes from working with the Devil.
　　The Devil's Trap is a film directed by František Vlá?il, based on a novel by Alfréd Technik, adapted by František A. Dvorák and Miloš Kratochvíl. It was the first of three historical dramas that Vlá?il made during the Czech New Wave (technically he isn't really a part of the New Wave, however these films were made during the same era of artistic freedom), preceding his more well known Marketa Lazarová (1967) and Valley of the Bees (1968).
　　Set in the late 16th Century during the Catholic Reformation, in the Moravian Karst, situated in what is now the Eastern Czech Republic, it tells the tale of a miller (Vítezslav Vejrazka), and his son Jan (Vít Olmer), who come under suspicion and are investigated by a Jesuit priest of the Inquisition (Miroslav Macháchek), when rumors of witchcraft are spread by the local regent (Cestmír Randa), who is jealous of the miller's prosperity and degree of respect among the local populace.
　　As expected from Vlá?il, this film is a stunning experience all the way through. From the opening shot, an ominous manipulation of perspective with a close up of a mangled figure of Christ dominating the foreground against a tiny figure in black walking along the horizon, to the breathtaking confrontational finale inside the vast stalactite filled Karst caverns, it is a wonderful display of visual mastery.
　　Maybe not quite as impressive as Marketa Lazarová, but still full of astonishing imagery. As seen from unique angles and distinct points of view which highlight the director's remarkable sense of awareness of framing, motion, and positioning on the emotional and dramatic tone of the scene. The most memorable being a repeated shot where the camera is suspended and launched with speed through the air towards the miller's door.
　　The story here is a simple one and I would say more accessible than his later works. With a conventional structure emphasized as much by its plot and characters, than by its expressionistic cinematography or authentic historical detail. The events play out without much surprise, and there is a strong underlying, almost supernatural, mysterious aspect that is left unresolved, in fact barely explored, which is slightly disappointing, but only because it's so fascinating that I wish there was more.
　　Acting is great all around. Particularly the villains: Miroslav Macháchek as the priest, casting a sinister and imposing shadow wherever he goes, and Cestmír Randa as the weasel like regent behind all the persecution. While Vít Olmer brings a charismatic leading man presence in his role as the miller's son Jan, in love with the lovely orphan girl Martina (Karla Chadimová), who becomes a dangerous object of rivalry between Jan and other young men of the village.
　　The film also features the evocative music of Zden?k Liška (perhaps the most prolific composer of the Czech New Wave). In this his second of eleven collaborations with Vlá?il, his compositions are used sparingly, but to great effect, complimenting but never overpowering a scene. The best example of which can be heard in an amazingly shot celebration and dance sequence at the end of the second act.
　　The Devil's Trap might not be a masterpiece, but it is still a strong effort, with a fascinating straightforward story and a glorious historical setting captured beautifully by Vlá?il's unmistakable visual prowess. A fine work that would also be the perfect starter plate to prepare yourself for the challenging feast of Marketa Lazarová or The Valley of the Bees. It even has an easy to digest running time. It's therefore puzzling why this gem remains largely overlooked and ignored.
