追随

　　Following the success of their feature debut Jennifer’s Shadow (2004) – an exercise in American Gothic set in a scary land called Argentina – Pablo Parés and Daniel de la Vega worked for a US company on a post-mega-disaster wasteland zombie film in which South America had been turned into an all-purpose, all-materials junkyard, with the undead as the last humane entities around (forget about the humans here!).
　　The project never materialised, but Diego Parés, Pablo’s brother, started to write and draw a comic series based on the screenplay – which so far remains a ruin, as only parts were finished and published. The ECish beauty and balls of Diego P.’s labour of love have now been congenially transformed by the directorial duo into a delightfully old-(1970s)school low-budget production, closer to Romero and Dante than Fulci and Lenzi. And the IFFR audience is in for the treat of treats: they get to see the film and can also enjoy the unfinished comic in an exhibition.

　　A murderous religious cult is way-laying travellers and stealing goods in nineteenth century India. As the disappearances mount and trade becomes difficult, the British East India Company is forced to act. But they give the job to an upper-class officer completely out-of-touch with the country rather than the obvious candidate who has been in India for years and well understands the people and culture.

　　Mike and Angie Jones are determined to keep their seven-year-old daughter, Sophie, out of a demon’s hands.They will do everything in their power to make her safe and to bring an end to the turmoil the demon is causing their family…

　　Stuart Gordon, considered a master of the horror genre thanks to classics like Re-Animator and Dagon, decides to do a different move in this strange trip to human morals.
　　
　　"King of the Ants" is about a regular guy, Sean Crawley(newcomer Chris McKenna), a man without any aspiration who just live in his apartment doing the necessary job to live to the next day. In one of his jobs he meets Duke(Gearge Wendt), who introduces Sean to his boss, Ray Matthews(played by Daniel Baldwin). Ray hires Sean as a spy, and orders him to follow Eric Gatlin(Roy Livingstone), an accountant who has been investigating Ray's company. Problems start when Ray, while drunk, orders Sean to kill Eric. And he does it. Things go wrong when Ray decides to make Sean disappear destroying his mind with violent punishment and humiliation.
　　
　　From the point where Sean kills Eric, we go in the same boat with him, as he goes through a downward spiral of human degradation, traveling from guilt, to confusion and finally to his rebirth, in a state where humanity, morals and values are not important anymore. Chris McKenna acting is very important because he manages to be likable even when he is part of gruesome acts, both as victim and/or criminal. He has that look of innocence that hides a dark side and he manages to carry the film.
　　
　　The support cast also includes Kari Wuhrer, as Eric's widow who also becomes a central part of Sean's trip to hell. She gives a fine performance, although it's obvious that Sean is the main character. He is the most developed of all and McKenna's performance is up to the challenge.
　　
　　The film has very disturbing images of violence, and while it may not be as graphic as "Kill Bill" for example, the strength of the violence is in the lack of humanity that the character manifest. He is more than an ant in this world. He is the king.
　　
　　Stuart Gordon has managed to create a film that, while maybe it's not one of his best efforts; it's very well done, has a VERY interesting story to tell, and manages to capture the attention every second of it.

　　郑思杰监制，卢炜麟执导的《今晚打僵尸》则是港味十足的喜剧，将主攻香港本土市场，不会在内地公映。由白只、张继聪主演的《今晚打僵尸》则是一部惊悚题材的喜剧，该片根据余咏良的畅销小说改编而成。

　　广东省中山县的一方富豪葛大富和损友王八见面就吵架，他们的吵闹基因不仅影响到各自经营的武馆精武社和武圣堂，也遗传给了他们的儿子葛长寿（曾志伟 饰）和王明星（倪星 饰）。长寿、阿星同时喜欢青梅竹马的女孩秀秀（黄秀玲 饰），阿星仪表堂堂，与秀秀互生爱慕，反之长寿则形容猥琐，骄横散漫，丝毫不得秀秀的喜爱。
　　话说长寿刚出生之时，一眉道长（林正英 饰）曾算定他寿年不过二十三，月圆之夜定是索命之时。在一个满月时分，长寿和两个狐朋狗友偷窥秀秀洗澡，结果心神不定跌落屋顶，吓死了秀秀，他反借秀秀一口阳气度过难关。而秀秀则变成不穿衣服的羞羞鬼……

　　因为一场悲剧带来的创伤，内向的里奥很难和他人沟通，一心沉浸在音乐的世界中。由于无法从事作曲家的工作，他成为了一名Uber司机，把汽车当作自己的家。一天，他接到了一个名叫阿梅莉的乘客，并且从这位聋哑舞者身上感受到了一种同类的气息。虽然两人志同道合，但里奥其实有一个黑暗而危险的秘密……

　　故事背景是乡下的一个社区，雷特别来到乡下享受一周假期，却发现新搬来的邻居古先生一家行踪怪异，经常昼伏夜出，屋子的气氛亦恐怖得有如鬼屋。此时恰好另一邻居华特先生神秘失踪，雷猜疑是否古做的好事？于是趁古家一家人外出时，亲自摸进古家内一探究竟……

　　Anne嫁给了小镇的牧师，三十年过去，她觉得她的生活和婚姻持续地缩小中。一次机缘之下，她与「大师」有了接触，她发掘了新的力量，想要活得比以往更大胆。Anne在全新的自己和过往的自己中不断拉扯，死亡数字增加，Jakob意识到他必须为了老婆而战。

　　お化け屋敷の恐怖を実際のお化け屋敷以上に体感できる映画として企画・製作された「お化け屋敷列伝」の第1弾で、富士急ハイランドの名物お化け屋敷「戦慄迷宮」を取り上げた。富士急ハイランドの全面協力を得て、通常をしのぐ恐怖演出を施した閉園後の「戦慄迷宮」に、アイドルグループ「LinQ」のメンバーやネットで人気のゲーム実況プレイヤー、一般人のカップルといった多様な人々が挑戦する姿を捉えた。挑戦者自身による自撮り映像や複数の固定カメラを駆使して撮影された映像と迫力の音響により、臨場感を伝える。
