　　David's comfortable world is turned upside down when his birthmother unexpectedly reaches out to him, longing to meet the 18-year-old son she's only held once.

　　Disaster movies tend to inhabit the close-but-not-too-close realm of the ‘what if?’, but Quentin Reynaud’s taut drama evokes a reality that is painfully immediate, as the world combusts around us. Alex Lutz (recently seen as the son in Gaspar Noé’s Vortex) plays a man determined to escape with his elderly father (the ineffable André Dussollier) from a wildfire that is rapidly approaching their forested area of southern France.
　　The pair know all the local roads, and the secret detours, but when they are caught in a dead end, they seem to be running out of possible exits. At once road movie, claustrophobic jeopardy thriller and portrait of a prickly but tender father-son relationship, this finely acted and executed film expertly lays on the heat.

　　The picture-postcard idyll of the Cornwall fishing village is misleading. While fishing used to be a way of supporting oneself, wealthy London tourists have now descended and are displacing the locals, whose livelihood is thus threatened. The relationship between brothers Steven and Martin is also strained. Martin is a fisherman without a boat, since Steven started using it for far more lucrative tours for all the day-trippers. They’ve sold the family cottage and now it seems that the final battle to be fought is that with the new owners over the parking space next to the sea. Yet the situation soon gets out of hand, and not just because of the wheel clamp.
　　Bait is a black-and-white film shot on hand-processed 16mm. Numerous close-ups of fish, nets, lobsters, wellington boots, knots and catch baskets bring to mind the theory of a montage of attractions. The depiction of the different social strata – one could speak of class relations – is also reminiscent of the tradition of social realism in British cinema. Above all, however, a whole lot of current political relevance is waiting to be discovered beneath the different layers of film historical references contained in the images.

　　该影片讲述了一个东北小人物“黄粱”的故事。男主人公黄粱是一名物业经理，由演员姜超饰演。片中，黄粱有一位帮他解决麻烦的兄弟“大伟”、一位保安小跟班“锁子”、一位教育咨询师的前妻、一位爱慕着他的老同学。电影运用了蒙太奇的手法嫁接了主角的梦，在轻喜剧风格引发的欢乐中让人若有所思。

　　有前科的Johnny (Scot Williams饰, 《The Crew》)**卷入了一场抢劫案中。他们计划去偷黑帮头目“精明的”Eddie (Paul Freeman饰, 《Raiders of the Lost Ark》, 《Hot Fuzz》)在家里藏匿的一百万美金黑钱。但是Johnny不知道的是另外还有7个恶徒也在打这笔钱的主意。

　　Nassim est en première dans un grand lycée parisien et semble aussi insouciant que ses copains. Personne ne se doute qu’en réalité, il vient de perdre sa mère et rentre chaque soir dans un foyer. Malgré la bienveillance de la directrice, il refuse d’être assimilé aux jeunes de ce centre. Tel un funambule, Nassim navigue entre ses deux vies, qui ne doivent à aucun prix se rencontrer…
